Been running well recently without setting the world alight. Still a maiden and beaten favourite last time out so others hold stronger claims.

Joined the Richard Fahey stable for 11,000 gns in October and probably needed the run on reappearance at Newcastle recently. Should enjoy the nature of this track, but still a maiden after 14 starts, and not been dropped far in the ratings since making handicap debut. Needs more.

C&D winner back in 2015 and went okay last time here, finishing fourth of 13 when unsuited by the way the race developed. Can break slowly and wouldn't want to do that here from an inconvenient draw.

Scored three times from marks between 53 and 55, including a C&D win back in January off 1lb lower. Clearly suited to this course but he has a tough task from this draw and overall strike rate is very disappointing, despite some respectable efforts here.

Not won since 2015 but looked good at Wolverhampton two starts back despite having the run of the race and has performed with credit here before, finishing second last year and losing his maiden tag from a basement mark over C&D two years ago. Should benefit from his low draw and has won off marks higher than this three times in his career so can't be ruled out.

Still a maiden after 14 starts and placed just once in eight starts on the AW. Handicapper refusing to give much back and drop in trip unlikely to be the answer so looks opposable despite the first time blinkers.

Narrowly beaten having looked a sure-fire winner when backed off the boards at Kempton last time out. However, his hold up-style is better suited elsewhere and he's likely to struggle around this track, despite his last win coming here (small field affair).

One win from 16 starts but that did come over C&D when well backed in a Class 7 race. Some promise last time in a similar event and still feasibly handicapped but must overcome a horror draw if he's to get competitive.

Impressive performance when returning from a near two year absence here last time finishing in front of Master Of Heaven. However, the "bounce" factor has to be a concern and the draw hasn't been as kind on this occasion while the fact remains he's still a maiden after 26 starts.

Inconsistent type as his record of one win from 46 starts would suggest and that win was some time ago now. Can get competitive but seems unlikely from the widest draw of all.

23 starts without getting his head in front and no signs of encouragement to suggest that will be changing any time soon on recent form. Likely to struggle yet again and trainer has a particularly poor strike rate.

Yet to score in 19 starts and only placed twice (third both times). Been a little more consistent on recent starts and this jockey booking is a positive but very little else to be said for his chance.

Hasn't won since December 2014 and both victories have come at Dundalk, with little to encourage recently. Is now a long way below his winning mark on those occasions but not shown enough to suggest he's ready to get off the mark on these shores and draw looks awkward.

Unplaced on 13 starts to date and operating from out of the handicap. First time blinkers need to spark a minor miracle if she's to win today.

Percy Verence (3/1), Jazri (9/2), Mamoo (5/1), Castanea (9/1), Nouvelle Ere (10/1), Gladys Cooper (12/1), The Dukkerer (14/1), Master Of Heaven (14/1), Sublimation (14/1), Hong Kong Joe (14/1), Sexy Secret (16/1), Flying Author (20/1), Ertidaad (25/1), Awesome Rock (25/1), Whip Up A Frenzy (33/1), Ambitious Rosie (50/1)

Verdict

It may be worth taking a chance on NOUVELLE ERE who has a nice draw to work with and is well-handicapped on bits of his form. Master Of Heaven is a former C&D winner but will have to overcome a wide draw to get involved while Percy Verence attracted market support last time out before finishing third at Newcastle and both of those points make him of interest in an affair as weak as this. 1. Nouvelle Ere 2. Master Of Heaven 3. Percy Verence
