Third behind Shan Dun Na Ngall at Lingfield latest over this trip, now 5lb better off for a four-and-a-half-length margin, entitled to get much closer.
Justified the odds in good style at Lingfield last time, taking recent record to three wins in four starts and had a couple of these rivals in behind. Big player once more.
Pulled up when last spotted over hurdles, previous form on the Flat gives him plenty to find to be competitive in this.
Three-time C&D scorer has been in good heart since turn of the year and must rate a danger with positive jockey booking for this.
Ran well enough over 1m2f at this track last month, still lightly raced on the AW and has no stamina doubts so should have scope for better.
First Flat run for a long time when close-up third at Wolverhampton earlier this month, well enough handicapped if in the same mood again.
Is a previous C&D winner, not running up to his best level of late however and others are in much better heart coming into this.
Runner-up behind Shan Dun Na Ngall penultimate start around Lingfield, since filled the same role at that venue over shorter trip. Remains a maiden but likely to threaten again.
Very modest form on the AW so far, last of 13 at Southwell over 1m4 latest, goes up in trip again and cheekpieces return now.
Former C&D winner showed best form for some time when third in Lingfield seller at this trip latest off this mark, needs more again.
Perhaps flattered to finish second over 1m4f at this venue last month, two subsequent runs suggest that to be the case. Plenty to find on formbook with some of these rivals.
Forecasts
Shan Dun Na Ngall (7/4), Delagoa Bay (9/2), Ascendant (11/2), Le Tissier (11/2), Money Talks (15/2), Newtown Cross (11/1), Night Generation (12/1), Tarakkom (20/1), Shalianzi (33/1), Barnacle (33/1), Last Summer (50/1)
SHAN DUN NA NGALL has been on fine terms with himself lately, winning three of his last four starts. He had a bit in hand at Lingfield last time and can go in again. Le Tissier was second that day but often settles for minor honours while the third, Night Generation, may be able to close the gap somewhat. Delagoa Bay is proven over this C&D and merits plenty respect given jockey bookings while Ascendant would have a chance if building on his recent Wolverhampton effort on first Flat outing for a long while. Money Talks has scope to do better in this sphere and should go well stepping up in trip.
1. Shan Dun Na Ngall
2. Delagoa Bay
3. Le Tissier
