12/1
Half-brother to five winners and signs of ability in bumpers and on hurdling debut at Exeter. Better expected but may be one to watch for future handicaps.
2
Horse silk
50/1
Comes from a good family but struggled to make an impacts in point-to-points and dropped away tamely on his hurdling bow over C&D (soft). Others preferred.
3
Horse silk
50/1
Sent off triple-digit odds for both novice hurdle events so far but glimpses of promise when a well-beaten third over C&D last time. Unlikely to make an impact until sent handicapping.
Struggled in a Warwick bumper before proceeding to show nothing in the point-to-point ranks prior to a dismal hurdling debut at 250/1 odds at Taunton. Easy to dismiss.
Little to get excited about in his profile and looks one to avoid in the short-term at least on the evidence of a poor hurdling debut effort at Taunton recently.

Horse silk
14/1
Signs of potential in bumpers and on his hurdling bow over C&D recently behind Sir Anthony Brown. But he is bred for stamina and is more a longer term prospect.
Fancied for his debut in a Uttoxeter bumper but failed to deliver and was also disappointing when making a hurdles bow at Taunton last month, despite the assistance of Richard Johnson on both occasions. Surely capable of better but hard to put faith in all the same.
8
Horse silk
10/1
Plenty to like about his profile on paper and improved on a poor hurdles debut (heavy) to shape with more promise than the bare form suggests on better ground at Warwick next time. Possibilities on hurdling debut.
9
Horse silk
100/1
Unfancied and duly well-beaten in a Worcester bumper and in two 2m maiden hurdle events at Ludlow and Chepstow. One of a number in this race who shapes like a longer-term prospect.
10
Horse silk
150/1
Cheap purchase was was sent off 100/1 for his hurdling debut over 2m5f here (soft) last month and was duly pulled up. Looks one to avoid.

50/1
Comes from a decent family and offered something to work on when reaching the frame in a Musselburgh bumper on his debut but let down by his jumping in testing conditions at Sandown on his hurdles debut. No surprise to see a much-improved effort here.
12
Horse silk
100/1
No real impact in two runs over hurdles so far (both soft), but an earlier win in the point-to-point ranks suggests he does have ability waiting to be tapped, though better ground may be the key to him.

4/1
Well beaten in Warwick bumper on debut last month, when perhaps hitting the front too soon. Wasn't unfancied that day and, with that experience to draw on, it would be no surprise to see him make an impact on his hurdling debut in an event which lacks depth.
14
Horse silk
200/1
Toiled badly at long odds in two runs for Henry Oliver and fared no better when making a debut for new connections at Taunton last month, going off at 250/1. Easily ruled out.
Won a bumper for Harry Fry on his debut last winter but never built on that and has struggled badly since going hurdling for new connections. Looks a more likelier type for handicaps.
Promising winner of a bumper in his native France but probably too highly-tried when soundly beaten in a hot juvenile hurdle event won by Charli Parcs at Kempton over Christmas. Sure to improve as he drops significantly in grade and holds obvious claims.

11/10
Won a fillies juvenile hurdle event in her native France on soft ground last summer and creditable efforts in handicaps since. Of obvious interest as she makes a British debut for leading yard.

Forecasts

Fadas (11/10), Dreamcatching (3/1), Whin Park (4/1), Molineaux (10/1), Banco De Logos (12/1), Master Majic (14/1), Black Anthem (50/1), Garde Forestier (50/1), Sergio (50/1), Meribel Millie (66/1), Matts Legacy (100/1), The Greenvet (100/1), Jamesgiftkeysandal (100/1), Moonlight Flyer (100/1), Scrumpy Boy (150/1), La Madrina (200/1), Georgian Hero (250/1)

Verdict

Paul Nicholls' Dreamcatching comes into strong contention, even though he was undeniably disappointing in a much hotter race at Kempton on his stable debut. Preference though is for fellow French recruit FADAS who boasts some useful form, comes from a good family, and is just the type the Skelton team excel with. Whin Park makes most appeal of the remainder. 1. Fadas 2. Dreamcatching 3. Whin Park
