Temasek Star was a fair runner-up at Newcastle last month and is the owner of a decent record at thus venue so must be respected. Ruby Gates was also a bridesmaid here on her most recent appearance and should be seen to good effect going up in trip in this while War Goddess has shaped well in two recent handicap outings and shouldn’t take too long to get off the mark. A chance is given to CARVELAS however, who ran credibly in two visits last month behind some in-form rivals including when third behind Duchessofflorence three weeks ago. The winner has since scored off a 6lb higher mark while the runner-up was scheduled to run earlier on this card.
