Consistent performer who was beaten just half a length last time out, just 3lb higher than for his latest success on turf. Ideally suited by a strong pace, something he looks unlikely to get here but chances if repeating most recent effort.
Out of form recently with two defeats on polytrack preceded by defeats over sprint distances at St Moritz. Winner off a 7lb higher mark in the past but that did come back in 2015 and a bit to prove at present.
Winner on his penultimate start at Newcastle but well beaten off revised mark there latest. Makes his first trip to Kempton in this and interesting to see how he fares.
Successful in France over a mile in may but disappointing prior to finishing a close third over seven furlongs at Lingfield latest. Step back up in trip looks likely to suit and a good claiming apprentice takes an additional 3lbs off here.
Six time winner including here in his youth. Upped 1lb for his latest success at Lingfield last month and the form has been franked by the runner-up since. Interesting with good jockey booking once more.
Returned from a near 16 month absence when successful on debut for this yard at Lingfield in november. Not beaten far behind a group performer on debut in Ireland as a two year old and interesting to see how he fares on handicap debut.
Consistent five year old who's won two of his last three starts (both at Wolverhampton). Upped just a pound for his most recent success and is the only confirmed front runner in this contest.
Running well when last seen out in the autumn, placed in a big field handicap at Newmarket off this mark on latest run and placed off 2lb lower mark here in september. Worth a check in the market with a top jockey (18% strike rate for trainer) booked to ride.
Disappointing of late, beaten 12 or more lengths on each of his last three starts. Handicap mark sliding which should help him but has performed poorly on both previous visits to this track.
Forecasts
Honiara (9/2), Amazement (5/1), Mister Music (5/1), Lacan (5/1), Ice Royal (7/1), Franco's Secret (8/1), Sands Chorus (10/1), Blue Revelation (12/1), Freight Train (150/1)
SANDS CHORUS provides the only confirmed pace in the race and he can make all in what looks a competitive mile handicap. Successful last time out at Wolverhampton the five year old stays this trip well and can get the better of the top weight Ice Royal who has been running well since returning from a break and the unexposed Blue Revelation here.
1. Sands Chorus
2. Ice Royal
3. Blue Revelation
