Looks to have struggled with a big weight on his recent runs, but faces an easier task today with conditions in his favour. Not one that can be easily ruled out.
Bumped into an impressive winner when beaten 11L stepping up in trip at Market Rasen last time (2m6f, good to soft) and goes up only 2lb for that run. Has finished behind (and in front of) some useful types during his short career so far and can go well in first time headgear.
Returns from just under 11 months off after three consecutive seconds before that break. Has something to prove on his reappearance but not out of the reckoning by any means.
Now at his lowest weight since winning at Ffos Las in October 2015 and was beaten favourite last time. This is an easier race than some of his recent efforts and he can make a bold bid. Trip and ground are fine.
Was leading when coming down four out last time at Aintree, and was travelling well enough but it would be a slight concern that he was jumping out to his right at the time. That was his second chase run having been soundly beaten on his first attempt, but appears on the improve and should go well.
Was a close up third at Chepstow last time (2m, heavy), and goes up 2lb for that effort. Returns to a trip he's run well over but remains 1-20 under rules.
Has been well beaten in all recent chase starts even now returned to the mark he won off at Bangor last May. Can probably win more races but this looks too competitive.
Seems to prefer fences to hurdles and registered another win over the larger obstacles two starts ago. That form is questionable and he was soundly beaten next time, but should like the conditions today.
Inconsistent sort who has run poorly on all recent starts and looks to be one of those that are more easily discounted in this competitive field.

Forecasts
The Fresh Prince (3/1), Master Jake (9/2), The Italian Yob (5/1), Renard (11/2), Allow Dallow (8/1), Wings Of Smoke (11/1), Groomed (11/1), Court Dismissed (14/1), Dreamsoftheatre (25/1), River Purple (25/1)
The Fresh Prince was travelling strongly when coming down four out at Aintree last time and is entitled to go well again off the same mark, while The Italian Yob is at his lowest weight since his last win and will enjoy the conditions. Preference though, is for MASTER JAKE, who has finished in behind the likes of Ivan Grozny and Waiting Patiently in previous races and is relatively lightly raced for a nine-year-old. He is taken to notch up a first win over fences in what looks a competitive race.
1. Master Jake
2. The Fresh Prince
3. The Italian Yob
