Goes well for an inexperienced rider and has responded kindly for Laura Coughlan (claims 7lb) in his last two starts; he's slightly better off with Major Muscari and Zabdi on this occasion but still has a wee bit to find on a literal reading of the form.
Rattled home in good style here last week and only just failed to get his head in front on the line. He should go close from the same mark but he has a tendency to make life hard for himself with a slow start, so can never really be trusted implicitly.
Another exasperating individual who has tested the resolve of his supporters (who must be dwindling to a mere handful after his 13-race losing streak. He drops into a race like this for the first time but it would take a brave man to say Jordan Uys can bring the drought to an end without a bit of luck being on his side.
Been hammering at door of late but has reaped no better than a trio of placed efforts for his troubles. He has gone up 1lb without winning for all his efforts and faces another stern test. However, he is better drawn than a few of his old rivals, which bolster his claims for another throw of the dice.
Plummeted in the weights over the last couple of seasons but has shown very little of late to suggest he can do anything to halt the slide towards the obscurity the lowest grade of handicaps.
Good effort last time out but is not certain to repeat the effort given his overall profile; he was also a long way behind Zabdi when they met in 7F handicap at Chelmsford last month and makes very limited appeal in his bid to get one over on his old rival.
Many say there is only one winner in gambling but this is one bookmaker who has bucked the trend of late. His form has been woeful recently and he makes limited appeal in spite of being quite well treated just now.
Much better on the turf than on artificial surfaces as his record of no wins from ten AW starts underpins; he ran well in a claimer here as a three-year-old but has basically shown a distain for this type of track. Others readily preferred.
Posted her best effort for a while with a solid run at Kempton earlier this month. However, that was a very weak race and there has to be a suspicion that she'll revert to type in this slightly better company.
Has a bit to find with Cuban Queen and seems to have lost her way just at the moment. She is just out of the weights but makes limited appeal of form as well.
Very difficult to enthuse about her chances on these terms and is probably best left to her own devises again this time around.

Forecasts
Zabdi (9/4), Major Muscari (9/2), Quintus Cerialis (5/1), Lightsome (6/1), Cuban Queen (7/1), Wink Oliver (8/1), Bookmaker (14/1), Nasri (14/1), No Refund (16/1), Royal Normandy (16/1), Welsh Inlet (25/1), Justice (66/1)
Avery frustrating bunch has been drawn together for the finale and ZABDIis only a tentative choice to prevail here. The four-year-old has a handy draw in stall 3 and may well have the race run to suit. Major Muscari and Wink Oliver are closely matched with the selection but neither has been down any favours by their position in the starting stalls. Support for Lightsome would also be of interest as he tries a visor for the first time but also has a wide sweep to overcome.
1. Zabdi
2. Major Muscari
3. Wink Oliver
