4/1
C&D distance winner. Talented gelding but very much out of form of late and virtually tailed off last time, so hard to fancy off the back of that.

Marshgate Lanep12
Age: 8|  Weight: 9-7| J: L P Keniry| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  87

Last three wins have come in claimers and has been disappointing when well-backed on last two starts. Drop back in trip looks unlikely to be the answer so probably best opposed on this occasion.

Regarde Moi17
Age: 9|  Weight: 9-5| J: Jacob Mitchell(7)| T: M Botti| OR:  90
5/1
Five-time Listed winner in Italy for Stefano Botti and won a Group 3 in 2013 but wasn't competing at that kind of level immediately prior to moving here and proved disappointing on yard debut in a claimer. Market likely to be the best guide.

20/1
C&D winner in 2015 but beaten in a seller when last seen at a short price. That run was pretty disappointing on the face of it but possible this new yard and a winter break has freshened him up. Interesting to see what the market makes of him.

Gramercyp144
Age: 10|  Weight: 8-12| J: S Donohoe| T: Ian Williams| OR:  89
20/1
Won back-to-back races at the end of 2015 but shaped as if amiss in bid for a hat-trick and then wasn't seen for nearly a year. Reappearance was disappointing and now has another absence to overcome. Trainer's ex Richard Fahey recruits haven't exactly been hitting the ground running so probably best watched for now.

Last three wins have come in claimers and she scored over C&D two starts back. Has a bit to find on official ratings but one of the few that arrives here in form.

Aqua Libre167
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-9| J: David Probert| T: P J McBride| OR:  82
6/1
Contested some good races as a two-year-old but maybe didn't train on and finished out of the places in a trio of three-year-old starts. Has a break to overcome and the fact he's pitched into this level at this stage of her career isn't encouraging.

Gold Return12
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-6| J: Noel Garbutt(3)| T: J Ryan| OR:  62
40/1
Disappointing in two starts for this yard and already pitched into this level. Has plenty to make up on the form book and would need others to under-perform if he's to get involved in any way.

Forecasts

Marshgate Lane (7/4), Lunar Deity (4/1), Threebagsue (5/1), Regarde Moi (5/1), Aqua Libre (6/1), Gramercy (20/1), Big Whiskey (20/1), Gold Return (40/1)

Verdict

THREEBAGSUE has plenty to make up on official figures but claimers can often throw up results the form book discounts. She has won over C&D recently and arrives in form; that may give her an edge on this field. Aqua Libre has claims on some of her two-year-old form but needs to bounce back after a break. Big Whiskey is another C&D winner and he may be able to find a new lease of life for a new yard. 1. Threebagsue 2. Aqua Libre 3. Big Whiskey
