Improving with every run and duly managed to get his maiden victory on the board last time. That rival looked well handicapped so there's every chance he can go in again here.

Still a maiden on the Flat after 26 starts. Has had plenty of stalls issues in the past which is a negative from this particular draw and has a small break to overcome so others preferred all things considered.

Still a maiden after ten starts and seems to be going backwards currently. Talented claimer booked at least.

Maiden form was modest but showed far more on handicap debut at Chelmsford last time out over 10f. Handicapper has dropped her 1lb for that effort and of some interest in this near basement grade on second handicap start for a stable who know what they are doing in this sphere.

11/2
Beaten favourite last time out and still a maiden after 10 starts. Has been fairly consistent at least and likely to get his head in front at some point in time but the draw makes things a little awkward for today's assignment and he probably needs to come down the handicap a little.

Not won in ten starts for this yard and particularly poor recently. Zero form seven on the AW and while the step up in trip is an obvious positive, there's plenty more needed here.

Still a maiden after seven starts and step up in trip isn't an obvious move. Has had issues leaving the starting stalls in the past so not one to put a whole lot of faith in.

Not beaten many rivals home in eight career starts and no signs of improvement recently. Jockey booking is possibly the only thing in his favour here.

16/1
C&D winner whose last success came in a ten furlong seller at Lingfield in early July. Largely struggled thereafter, but fourth of 14 off a short break over two miles here last month and two similar efforts since. Just needs a bit more encouragement to be considered for win purposes.

C&D winner but he's had a largely interrupted career to date and likely he's had plenty of injury issues/not been the easiest to train. Tailed off on last two starts and has well-being to prove at the very least.

Just one win from 17 starts and that came when they appeared to go too fast around Southwell. Unplaced on all other starts including three for this yard and trainer has a particularly poor strike rate so tough to fancy.

Ran okay in a claimer three starts back but very little else to shout about in her other career starts and another one with a tough draw.

Forecasts

Tred Softly (11/8), Lobster Cocktail (11/2), Sir Jack (10/1), Rianna Star (10/1), Galuppi (12/1), Lily Edge (16/1), Dancing Rainbow (16/1), Medicean Queen (20/1), Sayedaati Saadati (20/1), Tractive Effort (25/1), Last Summer (25/1), Street Art (33/1), Barnacle (40/1), Fishergate (50/1)

Verdict

TRED SOFTLY did well to nab a rival on the line last time at Wolverhampton. That rival looks well-handicapped so there's every chance the unexposed four-year-old could go in again here. It's still early days for Rianna Star and she performed well on handicap debut last time and gets dropped a pound for that, somewhat lenient. Lobster Cocktail hasn't been given much of a break by the assessor but he looks likely to run his race once again. 1. Tred Softly 2. Rianna Star 3. Lobster Cocktail
