In prolific form in 2015 (won Cambridgeshire) winning five times but failed to win last year despite winning some solid races. Better than his finishing position last time out (not for the first time) when fifth at Lingfield (behind My Target & Mr Bossy Boots) and remains of interest here.
Useful form on the AW (six-time winner) the latest coming at Newcastle over 7f in June. Gives the impression that he is worth over this trip and has to be taken seriously here in a competitive heat.
A very capable AW performer (won six times) and suited by this trip. Below form last time out at Chelmsford behind Chester Street over a mile but far better judged on his penultimate run when back from a break over 7f. Form of that race has looked useful and the slight ease in the weight from that run makes him competitive here.
Last two wins have come over C&D off marks of 86 and 89 and now figures off a career high mark. Two poor runs in between those two wins (had excuses) and will continue to be a tough nut to crack despite the mark.
Fourth behind My Target and Mr Bossy Boots last time out running well coming back from a five month break. Likes to lead and may well get the run of the race here.
Bids to complete a hat-trick here after a brace of wins at Chelmsford over a mile. So far yet to taste defeat on the AW having also won a maiden at Kempton over 7f on his second start. Form of his last win looks solid although he will have to overcome a career high mark here.
Only one try so far on the AW when second at Lingfield last April off a mark of 80. Won two handicaps on turf last year and back from a break here on a surface where she still looks to have some potential.
Capable handicapper whose last two wins have come at Brighton over a mile. Can be forgiven a poor run last time out at Wolverhampton (hampered at the start) but will need to take a step forward here in a hot race.
Forecasts
Third Time Lucky (11/4), Chester Street (3/1), My Target (4/1), Bold Prediction (5/1), Mr Bossy Boots (6/1), Supersta (8/1), Hawatif (66/1), Cricklewood Green (66/1)
This is a very interesting and competitive contest for the grade and it will take some winning with a few old rivals coming up against one another again. Chester Street will be popular as he bids defend his unbeaten AW record while Supersta comes from a yard that are finding their feet again after a recent move and must be respected. My Target beat three of these rivals last time out but will have to defy a career high mark here as he bids for another win. Bold Prediction would be dangerous with an easy lead but THIRD TIME LUCKY really deserves to win a contest like this. Without a win last year despite several good efforts he just needs some luck in-running to prove competitive off a mark of 98.
1. Third Time Lucky
2. Chester Street
3. Supersta
