Previous C&D winner having first start for new connections having formerly been trained by Barry Hills. Ran consistently on turf at the end of last season but fitness must be taken on trust on first run for 87 days.
Maiden Iffraaj filly having first start for new connections. Dropped down the weights last year and begins this campaign on a feasible mark. Shrewd connections may find a race for her and market could prove interesting indicator.
Generally out of form over the last 10 months and hard to recommend on recent efforts. Is dropping back towards a winning mark though and has a top jockey to assist.
Narrowly beaten at Southwell last time out and has won at this track in the past. One of the few coming into this race in good form and has to be a major contender for honours.
Run out of it late on over 6f here last time out and the extra distance here will help. Needs things to fall right for him but likely to be there or thereabouts once again.
Has fallen back to attractive mark on the best of his old form and hasn't been disgraced in recent outings. Vulnerable to a turn of foot though so will probably find a few too good once again.
Woefully out of form despite falling rating in last five starts and difficult to recommend. Best watched today.
Struggling to recapture his best form on a variety of surfaces over the last few months. Lowest mark for some time offers a little hopes but others make more appeal on this occasion.
Modest sort placed just once in 10 outings. Has run with credit however on recent starts and not a total no-hoper, but it would take a leap of faith to anticipate victory this evening.
On a very long losing streak streching back to 2013! That said, went close when third over C&D last time and has place prospects if in the same mood.
Shown very little ability in three starts in maiden to date. Starts his handicapping career off a very low mark though and does represent a stable in good form. Tough to recommend however until showing he can raise a proper gallop.

BALLIOL is a tentative suggestion in a wide open race contested by generally out-of-form handicappers. Ron Harris' charge has had a break and his fitness has to be taken on trust, but he looks the type to exploit what now appears a fair mark. Prisom went close recently at Southwell and the application of first-time cheekpieces might help. He rates a serious danger, while Fossa, whose last win was the best part of four years ago, has nonetheless run with credit recently and should be knocking on the door once again.
