Has shown some ability on both starts so far and should win a race or two, but will probably do better once handicapped.
Went close at both Windsor and Newcastle last year and possibly found the Fibresand against him when disappointing last time out. Represents a powerful yard and sets the standard here, although wouldn't surprise if he again found one or two too good.
50,000 guineas purchase as a 2-year-old and dam comes from a good family. Showed promise on only outing when third at Haydock in May but not seen since. May have had training issues, so market should indicate if a good run is anticipated here.
Always in rear on racecourse debut last month where, as today, he raced with his tongue tied. Hard to recommend on that effort and best watched for the time being.
Home bred gelded son of English and Irish 2000 Guineas winner Cockney Rebel. Makes his racecourse debut today and likely to be better for the experience.
Half-brother to Group 2 Duke of York Stakes winner Tiddlywinks but has so far shown no ability in two outings, finishing well behind on both occasions. Powerful yard very much respected but looks one who may have a better chance once given his handicap rating.
Home bred half-brother to multiple winning sprinter Ballesteros so has to be respected on his racecourse debut. Yard in fair form and any indications of market confidence would be a very positive sign.
Narrowly beaten both on turf and on the A/W in his last two starts and has plenty of experience. Expected to give another good account of hssmelf and may possibly improve for his last run - his first for four months. One for the short list.
From a decent family but looked green as grass on his racecourse bow at Lingfield last week. Turns out again quickly having been noted getting the hang of things late in the day so may well do better this time and is a potential contender for honours.
Consistent but frustrating sort who has gone close on each of his last four starts but does appear to be rather one paced where it matters most. Expected to be in the mix once again but will most probably find one or two too good yet again.
100/1 but surprised when a respectable third on debut over C&D last month in modest maiden. This looks tougher, but clearly has some ability and not without hope if building on promising first effort.

Things Happen (5/2), Sidewinder (3/1), Espresso Freddo (5/1), Hart Stopper (15/2), Sanches (8/1), State Residence (9/1), Prufrock (12/1), Joys Delight (22/1), Jai Hanuman (50/1), Champagne Freddie (50/1), Pipe Dreamer (50/1), Mister Raffles (66/1)
There are a number with chances in this maiden but preference is for Tom Dascombe's SIDEWINDER who hinted there could be better to come when caught close home at Lingfield recently on his first run since the summer. Likely to be better for the outing, he sets the standard. Espresso Freddo disappointed last time, but that was on Fibresand, and is better judged on a couple of decent runs prior to that. State Residence is one of two interesting David Simcock runners in this race and looked all at sea on his debut until keeping on near the finish. He may do better this time.
1. Sidewinder
2. State Residence
3. Espresso Freddo
