Has run some decent races in maiden company but remains without a win after 14 attempts.
Just the one run so far making his debut on the fibresand in cheekpieces. Didn't offer that much - slowly away and looked awkward and green.
Five-race maiden who has looked well held in a couple of nurseries at the end of last year. Drops back into maiden company here but can be slow away.
Already has a rating of 69 and placed on her last four starts, all in maiden company. Took third in a Wolverhampton maiden earlier this month and should be thereabouts again.
Drops down to the minimum trip here after two runs in maidens over 6f and 7f. Didn't take a step forward from her debut effort last time but would have a chance here based on that initial run.
Stable in good form at the moment and she drops back to the minimum trip here after disappointing over a mile at Kempton last time. Ran very freely on that occasion (when well fancied) and of more interest back in trip here on her first try at 5f.
Seven attempts to get off the mark so far and probably ran up to her best last time at Wolverhampton over 5f. Blinkers worn for first time at Wolverhampton are retained here and in a weak race she may have a chance of breaking her maiden at last.
Forecasts
Bithynia (5/2), Speed Freak (3/1), Monteamiata (4/1), Snow Squaw (9/2), Rita's Man (7/1), Heavenly Cry (10/1), Jungle George (25/1)
A fairly modest maiden where it’s hard to split the main protagonists and even harder to be dogmatic about the result with not one candidate having a solid profile. Snow Squaw comes from a stable in tremendous form and she may well appreciate this drop in trip and the same could be said of Montemiata who is another dropping in trip. Bithynia is consistent but does appear to find one too good each time and a repeat of the run at Wolverhampton last time may help SPEED FREAK finally break her maiden.
1. Speed Freak
2. Snow Squaw
3. Monteamiata
