Broke his duck in fine style when landing the odds at Lingfield on New Year's Eve like a well-handicapped horse and won next-time-out; in good form and wouldn't rule out the hat-trick with claimer now reached for.
All the way success last-time-out and although the booking of Adam Kirby is comforting with regard to him following up, the wide draw does make things tricky.
Managed to capitalise on a career-low mark when recording her sole victory at Chelmsford back in September; looks like the handicapper might have her measure at present.
Assessor has been reluctant to drop this C&D winner and it's difficult to be confident judged on his most recent run when beating just one horse home over 7f here.
Last win came in a claimer at Windsor when trained by Richard Fahey and has looked generally out of form on her three subsequent AW starts; current mark gives her every chance if she still retains any ability.
C&D winner who put up an improved display most recently when chasing home a solid yardstick at Lingfield; 1lb rise for that not overly excessive so may be on the premises.
Poor win record and comes into this contest having slid down the handicap of late. Nice draw but hard to get enthused about having not won since December 2014.
Veteran who has been a credit to connections and having his 136th start here. George Baker takes the mount and likely to be there or thereabouts considering his recent form very much ties in with Born To Finish.
On a workable mark with jockey's 5lb claim taken into account and every chance of him making his presence felt from a good draw; each-way claims.
Veteran who understandably races off a career-low mark of 58. A repeat of the run at Windsor back in June would see him in the thick of things but younger legs will possibly prove more potent here.
Forecasts
Born To Finish (7/4), Major Valentine (4/1), New Rich (8/1), Virile (9/1), Diamond Charlie (10/1), Ocean Legend (11/1), Triple Dream (12/1), Only Ten Per Cent (20/1), Flowing Clarets (25/1), Last Star Falling (33/1)
The booking of a 5lb claimer to ride BORN TO FINISH gives Jeremy Gask's gelding every chance of landing a quick hat-trick and he's expected to make a bold bid with Milton Bradley's Triple Dream unlikely to be far away based on the formbook. Major Valentine will have to bounce out from his wide draw and tack over quickly if he is to land a blow here but he does have the right man on board in Adam Kirby to give him every chance of doing so and he may just follow up his recent success.
1. Born To Finish
2. Triple Dream
3. Major Valentine
