Got off the mark at the 22nd attempt here last time. Performed well in previous four AW starts so should be thereabouts again and only up 3lb for that.

Eighteen runs without a win. Certainly well-handicapped having won a Chelmsford City handicap at the end of 2015 off a mark of 67 but few signs of a revival recently and has a tough draw to contend with.

Still a maiden after eleven starts and showed very little for this yard on first two starts, latterly fifth of seven in a seller at Lingfield. Needs the assistance of George Baker up for the first time to spark a revival.

Developed issues with leaving the stalls and hasn't managed to get his head in front since 2014 so clearly a risky proposition but did run well behind the well-handicapped Irish raider Oor Jock here on Wednesday. However, inexperienced claimer taking over from Adam Kirby probably isn't an angle many would pursue.

Put back to back wins together in the summer but has failed to fire so far this winter. Has a wide draw to contend with here and only placed once from 12 starts on the AW; probably a better horse on turf.

Four time C&D winner and his winning in-form jockey from two starts back returns to the saddle. Likes to give his rivals a head-start but has won off this mark so warrants respect.

Six wins from 36 attempts around here but he's a very inconsistent sort. Feasibly handicapped and has the right jockey on board for favoured front-running tactics but comes with risks attached.

Complicated sort who got her head in front for the first time since debut two starts back. Poor runs either side of that tell the story and probably a little high in the handicap.

Not beaten many home for this yard in five starts to date so hard to fancy. Has run well here in the past but not in that kind of mood currently.

Placed just once in nine starts. Best efforts have come round here but needs to pull out more to get involved in the prize money.

Better horse on turf that AW and getting a little long in the tooth now. Entitled to need the run on return from a significant absence last time but he was out of form prior to that and others have more pressing claims.

Forecasts

Menelik (11/4), Deftera Lad (4/1), Ferryview Place (5/1), Captain K (5/1), Dalavand (8/1), Sebastian's Wish (10/1), Filament Of Gold (12/1), Outlaw Torn (14/1), Dukes Meadow (14/1), My Mistress (14/1), Silver Lining (28/1), Imperial Link (66/1), Jordaura (100/1)

Verdict

OUTLAW TORN isn't one to get overly excited about but he did perform well under this rider two starts back and his main pace rival is drawn very wide so he may be able to get an uncontested lead. Deftera Lad is the only last time winner in the field who shouldn't be far away if returning in the same mood and if Filament of Gold can get away from the stalls a little better than usual, he shouldn't be ruled out. 1. Outlaw Torn 2. Deftera Lad 3. Filament Of Gold
