Unplaced on six starts under rules and step up trip didn't suit last time. Back down in trip here is an obvious positive and the race he finished fourth in looks a strong piece of form but handicapper doesn't appear to have taken any chances.

Looks like a quirky type and was a shade disappointing over C&D last time. More needed.

11/4
C&D winner who's more exposed than several of these but things have started to click for him and the stable have hit a good run of form. Still plenty of scope from his last Flat mark so needs to be taken seriously.

Placed off 1lb higher than this mark at Kempton last April and the drop back down in trip is a positive. Uncomplicated type who holds place claims.

Got off the mark at the 15th attempt last time out but best runs have come on soft or heavy ground so he could do with some rainfall.

Unplaced on eight starts to date and didn't appear to enjoy the extra distance last time out. Back down in trip here but others hold stronger claims.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-0| J: Paul Moloney| T: Evan Williams| OR:  83

Struggled badly on four starts to date. No obvious reason why that should change here.

Forecasts

Miracle Cure (11/4), Looks Like Power (3/1), Lillington (7/2), Threebarmymen (5/1), Dr Dunraven (9/1), New Republic (14/1), River Dun (40/1)

Verdict

The Venetia Williams stable are in flying form currently and MIRACLE CURE still has plenty of handicapping scope from his Flat mark a few years ago. The form of Lillington's fourth two starts back is working out well and he may be able to get competitive if building on that. Dr Dunraven doesn't look entirely straight-forward and didn't fire over C&D last time but the suspicion is he's better than that. 1. Miracle Cure 2. Lillington 3. Dr Dunraven
