Handicapper appears to have caught up with him in recent times and he needs the step up in trip to bring out improvement. Appears to have a tough task from top of the weights.
Seven-time winner who won three races last year with the majority of those wins coming on the AW. However, he's never won over a trip this short or from a mark this high so hard to fancy on that basis.
All three wins have come over 6f with just one placed effort at 7f so the step up in trip wouldn't appear to be an obvious positive and last couple of runs have been disappointing. Others preferred.
Still chasing his first win after 21 starts but nearly got his head in front over C&D last time out. However, that didn't look a particularly strong affair (200/1 shot finished fourth) and probably needs to pull out more.
Still a maiden after seven starts and while the step up in trip seems a positive in some respects, his tendency to race keenly has to be a worry if there's no pace to run at.
Only one win from 36 starts across both codes but has fallen to a handy mark and should win a race on the Flat at some stage. The jockey is worth his 3lb claim so could be a danger if he's ready to go after an absence.
Still a maiden after 13 starts and hasn't placed since his two-year-old career so has plenty to prove in a competitive field such as this.
Best run to date over C&D two starts back when a close second behind Lozah. Caught too far back next time so has to be considered back down in trip.
Two wins from 34 starts but more consistent than that record suggests and ran well here last time out when finishing third. Should be thereabouts again if things fall right for him.
Two placed efforts from ten starts and needs the big step up in trip to bring out significant improvement. Leap of faith, that this yard have found the key to him required.
Wasted ground on the outside when finishing second at Southwell and then unlucky again when appearing to be on the wrong side of the track here last time out. A better draw and the step back up in trip here makes him the one to beat.
Zero from 18 starts for this yard and hasn't been in the kind of form that would get him competitive in a race like this.
Well-backed favourite last time out for new yard returning from a break and very well-handicapped on old form but seems to be better over 7f.
Only beaten three home in last three starts and placed just once on the AW. Inconsistent performer who will probably struggle again.
Forecasts
Newmarket Warrior (11/4), Dancin Alpha (7/2), Rock Warbler (5/1), Orlando Rogue (10/1), Hightime Girl (11/1), Wahaab (12/1), Miss Goldsmith (14/1), Attain (14/1), Cool Strutter (16/1), Dark Forest (20/1), Nelson's Bay (33/1), Silver Duke (33/1), Let Right Be Done (50/1), Life of Fame (66/1)
There's an argument to say DANCIN ALPHA could have won on either of his last two starts with a better draw, so he has to be feared from one pound higher in the handicap even though he's still a maiden. Hightime Girl was left no chance from the position she held turning for home last time out and warrants respect and Silver Duke has an absence to overcome but is well enough handicapped to take a race like this at some stage.
1. Dancin Alpha
2. Hightime Girl
3. Silver Duke
