Verdict

A race in which pitching a selection isn't the easiest of tasks. King Golan has improved dramatically but soft ground and the prediction of a continued deluge on Saturday makes him a very risky proposition at short odds, and furthermore he faces competition for the lead from the hardy stayer Onderun. Therefore, a tentative shout is for the Aztec warrior UEUETEOTL. James Ewart's 11yo is a more proficient fencer than the likes of Craiganboy and Aengus, and looks feasibly handicapped off a mark which is 7lb lower than when finishing a fair third to Bright Prospect and the 2019 Grimthorpe Chase winner Chidswell at Kelso 14-months ago.
