Forecasts
Native Appeal (5/4), Three Weeks (6/4), Danzay (7/2), Holy Shambles (8/1)
The smallest field of the afternoon, but a decent little race to conclude the Newcastle action, with Plus 10 Bonus money on offer. Both Native Appeal and THREE WEEKS have penalties to carry for their respective Kempton and Lingfield victories, but both are progressing well enough, so are taken to battle out the prize. Charlie Appleby (course AW record of 5 from 12; 42%) applies cheek-pieces to Native Appeal as he seeks a further edge for his colt, but William Haggas (12 from 33; 36%) has also profited from his forays to Newcastle since the introduction of Tapeta in May 2016, and his colt (the selection) won't be found wanting for stamina, so his rider Danny Tudhope will no doubt be keenest to make sure that this race doesn't develop into a tactical affair.
