Verdict

All five of these runners have some question marks against their names, but equally it's tough to definitively rule any of them out of contention in this race. Nine Altars was arguably a shade disappointing at Wetherby last month having previously appeared to be headed in the right direction over fences. Oscatara and Christmas Twenty are on reasonable marks, but doubts remains regarding stamina and fencing respectively. Quick Brew promises to do better now back over fences, but the vote goes to February C&D winner BANNY'S LAD, in the hope that the application of cheek-pieces and a faster racing surface will play to his strengths.
  1. Banny's Lad
  2. Oscatara
