Champ (8/15), Midnight Moss (9/4), Parwich Lees (10/1), Snow Castle (10/1), Grey Warbler (25/1), Caporali (25/1), Soffel (33/1), Bury The Evidence (66/1), Black Jack Jaxon (100/1), Oro Rebelde (150/1)
As ever, there has to be an element of guesswork when siding with a debutante, but CHAMP has plenty going for him in terms of the way he can be expected to have been prepared for his racecourse bow. The mount of Barry Geraghty is out of a half-sister to the legendary Best Mate, so is unlikely to slip under the radar as far as the odds are concerned. However, he ticks too many boxes to be ignored and is selected in preference to Parwich Lees, who represents and in-form emerging yard, and Midnight Moss, who should know more about what is required of him this time around. Grey Warbler is another to bear in mind for a place in the frame if the market indicates she is ready to deliver at the first time of asking.
1. Champ
2. Parwich Lees
3. Midnight Moss
