Forecasts

I Just Know (7/4), Deputy Commander (9/2), Kilronan Castle (15/2), Duke Arcadio (8/1), Towering (10/1), Beggars Cross (10/1), Royal Milan (12/1), Wade Harper (14/1), Bertie Lugg (33/1)

Verdict

The handicapper is beginning to give both Royal Milan and Wade Harper some slack and consequently this race is weaker than the ones that they've contested so far over fences. The latter in particular is dangerous from this mark if showing more over the larger obstacles. Conversely, the progressive and much respected I Just Know is stepping up in grade after a pleasing start to his career over fences. However, the C&D contest here in November in which DEPUTY COMMANDER and Duke Arcadio clashed appears to hold the key to this race, with Nigel Twiston-Davies winner expected to confirm placings despite meeting the runner up on five pounds worse terms. 1. Deputy Commander 2. Duke Arcadio 3. Wade Harper
