Ran best race for over a year when second of 13 in a handicap at Epsom 39 days ago. Now returns to this C&D where he's won before and has to be of consideration from a career-low mark if this proves enough of a test for him (stays 2m).
Well treated and recent third of 5 at Wolverhampton in October was encouraging. Returns to a C&D where he's won twice before, racing off a mark 5 lb lower than for last winter's win, and could go very well with cheekpieces back on.
Won twice in 3 starts including at Catterick in September but shaped as if amiss when last of 9 at York in a handicap 27 days ago so now needs to prove well-being back on all-weather.
Turned in a shocker at York 26 days ago before bouncing back to win a handicap over 11f here 14 days ago, having the run of things from the front. May find this tougher if not enjoying the same tactical advantages back up in grade and trip.
Twice a winner during the summer, including on handicap debut at Wolverhampton in July but was only sixth of 8 at Yarmouth after 3 months off 16 days ago. Possibly anchored by big rise in the weights on that occasion, but also could strip fitter for the outing and now returns to all-weather.
Won on all-weather at Kempton in October 2025 and off 11 months after. Left disappointing turf reappearance outing behind when second of 11 over C&D 26 days ago and is building a more convincing profile on synthetics so looks one to take seriously.
Third all-weather win this year came by a wide margin over 11f at Kempton earlier in September but found big rise in weights beyond him when third of 8 in a handicap there later in the month and now returns from 43 days off.
Was a winner on all-weather this time last year but not so good yet in 2026 and only fourth of 6 over C&D 30 days ago in a first-time tongue strap. Now tries cheekpieces for the first time.
Failed to win for Charlie Appleby and Ralph Beckett and showed a wayward head carriage when fifth of 6 in a handicap at Epsom in September so needs treating with caution starting out for a new yard.

Forecasts
Optician (5/2), Oneforthegutter (5/1), Lady Magu (11/2), John T (6/1), Joseph (6/1), Nolton Cross (8/1), Prince Of Calypso (12/1), Naval Command (14/1), Without Compromise (20/1)
NOLTON CROSS is fancied to make a big impact returning to a C&D where he's won twice before and with a handy mark to work with, he can prove too strong for John T, who ran well when second here 26 days ago and is building a good all-weather profile. Oneforthegutter is well treated and will be staying on strongly if they go hard enough for him.
