AW Trials Day - Lingfield 2nd Jan 2027 Handicap (Div 1)

Snapped a losing sequence in 14-runner race over C&D 19 days ago. Not obviously well treated under a 5-lb penalty (new mark 2 lb lower) but he has a bit of class for this 0-65 level.

Regular slow starter but has won twice here this year, latterly over this trip in July. Two creditable placed efforts since returning from a break and likely to give another good account.

Without a win since July 2024 but a reduced mark reflects that and she was having only her second outing on all-weather when 2¼ lengths third of 14 to Yaajooz over C&D 10 days ago. Should get closer to that reopposing rival on the revised terms.

Second outing for this yard when third of 7 over 1m at Doncaster in August but hasn't built on that in 2 subsequent outings, latterly over 1¼m at Nottingham. Now drops back 3f in trip with first-time cheekpieces added to his tongue tie.

Three-time winner on this surface a Wolverhampton and Southwell earlier in the year. Respectable sixth of 10 at former course (6f) back from a break 39 days ago and ought to be sharper now.

Maiden who was a creditable second of 13 in handicap at Redcar (1m, good to firm) 45 days ago. Makes tapeta debut.

Won at Yarmouth on stable debut in 2025. Struggled on next 3 outings but back to form out of the blue to get up near finish and deny Lanarra over C&D 14 days ago. Needs to prove she can back that up now.

All 6 career wins have come at this track, the latest over 6f at the beginning of September. Only 2 lb higher and capable of another bold bid.

Yet to score in 2026 but latest Musselburgh fourth was respectable and he's well treated back on all-weather (went close off 7 lb higher over C&D in March).

Goes well at this track, successful here over 6f last year and good second over C&D on last 2 outings, latterly going down by a neck to Clasina a fortnight ago.

Fair form at best for Richard Fahey but hasn't offered much in 3 outings for new yard since returning from an absence.
