Group 3 winner in 2024 for Andrew Balding. Back to that sort of form since fitted with a tongue strap, scoring at Newcastle before going close in the Portland at Doncaster and Sprint Trophy at York. Goes well in the mud (needed the run at Beverley) and another big run looks on the cards.

Useful filly who progressed incredibly through the ranks last season, winning 6 times. Yet to score this year but she has been highly tried and her length second in the Coral Charge at Sandown 3 starts back was a career best. Mark has suffered as a result, though.
Proved at least as good as ever when winning 5f Haydock handicap (soft) for second year running last month, albeit having a positional advantage towards the stand rail. Stiff task the following week but should be much more competitive here.
Successful 4 times for present stable this year, taking his form up a notch when making most over C&D last month. Continued in good heart since and shortlisted back at this venue (also went very close here in August).
Looked on the up when landing Wolverhampton maiden and handicap at Newmarket this spring. Progress stalled after and he's been off since down the field at Royal Ascot (has been gelded). Unraced on going softer than good.
Had a very productive 2025, the highlight coming in the Portland here (5.6f). Mixed record this season but was back to her best when scoring at Hamilton in August and also went close at Newmarket last month. Easy to forgive latest run at Ascot (raced away from where the action developed).
Justified support by a narrow margin off a career-low mark at Sandown in August and quickly put a poor run in the Portland behind him when third in re-fitted cheekpieces at Ascot. Eased 1 lb but is the type who needs things to drop right.
Winless since debut back in spring 2024 and recent below-par efforts have come in the mud. Others preferred.
Bolted up at Redcar in June before running an upwardly mobile filly close at York the following week. Has gradually gone off the boil since, though.
Finally took advantage of a tumbling mark in a first-time tongue tie at Haydock (5f, heavy) in early September. Excuses next 2 starts before decent third at York 2 weeks ago, but he has work to do from 3 lb out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Al Shabab Storm (2/1), Ancient State (9/2), King Of Light (9/2), Milford (13/2), Sovereign Spell (12/1), Schrodinger's Cat (12/1), Rosario (16/1), Boston Dan (18/1), Luna A Inbhir Nis (20/1), Eternal Sunshine (25/1)
AL SHABAB STORM is back to his smart self and looks ready to strike returned to calmer waters. The likeable Ancient State is a solid alternative, with King of Light best of the others.
