Runner-up first 2 starts before completing a simple task in a Ripon novice in June. Took another step forward with a determined success in 3-runner handicap at Salisbury (1½m), but ran poorly in listed race at Newmarket in August. Could fare better upped in trip back in a handicap.
Dual 1½m winner on all-weather during the spring and, having had excuses on penultimate start, proved at least as good on turf when scoring over this C&D 20 days ago. Seemed to relish testing conditions last time and he can make another bold bid.
Progressive form in Germany last year and made a winning seasonal/stable debut in handicap at Carlisle (1¾m, soft) in May. However, after 4 months off he was reported to have made a respiratory noise when tailed off at Chester 5 weeks ago. Has had a breathing operation since.
Off the mark at the fourth attempt at Doncaster (1¼m) in March. No immediate impact in first 2 handicaps but resumed his progress back from 3 months off when winning 7-runner contest at Thirsk (1½m, good to soft) in September. Major player with more still to offer up in trip.
Wide-margin winner of 11f novice at Ripon on return, but looked a hard ride when second of 3 at Beverley (1½m) next time. Possibly needed the outing after 4 months off when down the field in handicap at Southwell in September, so this run should reveal more.
Showed plenty to work on when fourth of 14 in novice at Windsor (1¼m) on debut in June. Has filled the same position both starts since, in 5-runner maiden at Ffos Las (1½m) last time, and appeals as the type to improve in handicaps (yard has good record when adding blinkers).

Forecasts
Yaa Min (15/8), High Storm (2/1), Gone By (5/1), Phantom Recon (15/2), Urchin (10/1), Loki (12/1)
HIGH STORM got back on the up when scoring at Thirsk 6 weeks ago, seeing his race out well, and he is taken to follow up with this extra distance promising to suit. Yaa Min is much respected, though, following his commanding victory over this C&D last time, while Phantom Recon remains with potential as he goes handicapping.
