Smart and versatile sort who was successful at Royal Ascot in 2024 (Jersey Stakes) and 2025 (Wolferton). Took advantage of an excellent piece of placement when landing a very valuable Grade 3 at Kentucky Downs last month but is penalised for that and Doyle prefers Humidity.

Defied top weight in the Cambridgeshire over C&D last season. Not quite at that level this season but he did manage a narrow win in a listed race at Goodwood in May and a reproduction of that would put him bang there.

Highly tried after winning the Wood Ditton last season, though he has posted plenty of useful efforts in defeat. Likely to be battling for minor honours once again, however.

Resumed progress with back-to-back handicap wins at York and only just failed when upped to this level at Haydock. No match with Talk of New York when second in Group 2 here (1m) 2 weeks ago but doesn't have a rival of that calibre to deal with here. Big chance with return to 9f no problem.

Followed up debut win when beating Thesecretadversary in the Chesham at Royal Ascot. Only just edged out in the Solario before rounding off his 2-y-o campaign with an excellent length second to Bow Echo in Royal Lodge here. Off since (has been gelded) but rates a fascinating contender.

Forecasts

The Lost King (13/8), Haatem (5/2), Humidity (5/2), Boiling Point (7/1), High Stock (25/1)

Verdict

HUMIDITY's juvenile form reads very well now, so it would be no surprise if he defied a year-long absence to further enhance the 3-y-os' excellent recent record in this race. Solid yardstick The Lost King can offer most resistance.
