Foaled January 26. 320,000 gns yearling, Sea The Stars colt. Dam, 7f winner, sister to smart winner up to 1½m (stayed easy 2m) San Andreas. Appealing newcomer on paper and possibly the pick of the Ballydoyle trio judged on jockey bookings.

Foaled February 4. 18,000 gns yearling, Gleneagles colt. Half-brother to several winners, including winner up to 1½m Scarlet Dragon and winner up to 1¼m Commander Cole, both smart. Starts out in what looks a warm maiden but he has an appealing pedigree.

Has made a very bright start, beaten just a ½-length in 1m Leopardstown maiden on debut (quickened to the front in pretty taking fashion and only beaten by another promising type) and running a huge race again in second in 9f Group 1 there subsequently. Will be hard to beat.

$950,000 yearling by Flightline. Shaped as if in need of the experience behind stablemate Aachen on debut at Dundalk (1m) 7 weeks ago, not knocked about. This should reveal more.

Well backed and showed plenty to work on when fourth in 7f Naas maiden on debut 3 weeks ago, the penny only really starting to drop when the race was all but over and not knocked about. Will improve.

Forecasts

Jesus Green (4/11), Choctaw Nation (3/1), Aachen (6/1), Selosse (6/1), Soldat (18/1), Magna Cum Laude (40/1), Paythebelievers (50/1), Eagle Of Tyrone (50/1), The Boogeyman (50/1), Professor Finnegan (100/1), Blue Glory (250/1)

Verdict

Probably an above-average maiden for the time of year and JESUS GREEN can get off the mark after a couple of fine efforts in defeat in a maiden and Group 1 at Leopardstown. Selosse shaped well in a red-hot Curragh maiden on debut and will improve, while Choctaw Nation is an appealing newcomer.
