Made a successful debut in 6f novice at Windsor last summer and got back on track with runner-up efforts on final 2 outings of the campaign, edged out only close home in conditions stakes at Salisbury in October. Has something to find after 12 months off (has been gelded).
Back in fine form this summer, recording 4 wins since mid-July, his latest in 14-runner event over C&D (good) 11 days ago. That took his tally to 5 course wins and a further 4 lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid, though he'll need to negotiate a wide stall.
One-time smart veteran (runner-up in Ayr Gold Cup back in 2022). Hasn't scored since 2023 but was runner-up in 2 handicaps in Bahrain over the winter. Best effort since returning to Britain when third at Ripon in August and found the Silver Cup at Ayr too hot last month.
Scored at Southwell in April and also bagged 21-runner event at York (6f) in June. Not disgraced off a career-high mark with third of 9 at Thirsk early last month but got stuck in the mud in Silver Cup at Ayr most recently. Cheekpieces reapplied.
Successful on return/stable debut over C&D in April and finished in the frame 4 times since over the summer. He's gone off the boil of late however, testing conditions possibly a factor in Silver Cup at Ayr most recently. Handicapper gives him a chance, but draw could've been kinder.
Finally added to his 2-y-o debut success at Thirsk early last month and followed up despite racing freely in the early stages in 8-runner event at Chester (7f, heavy) just over a fortnight ago. Nudged up another 2 lb and respected back sprinting for his hat-trick bid.
Has yet to add to his C&D debut success but ended his time with Karl Burke with placed efforts and again ran well when fourth at York on debut for this yard in May. Ran to a similar level back from 4 months off when seventh of 14 over C&D 11 days ago so not without an each-way squeak.
Plenty of good efforts last season but those have been less frequent this campaign, well held in the Bronze Cup at Ayr most recently. Back on his last winning mark as a result but needs to show more before becoming of interest.
Has stepped forward following a gelding operation, the second leg of a Chester double coming in June. Solid efforts in defeat next 2 starts and wasted no time leaving behind a lesser effort when second of 12 at the same track (7f, soft) last month. In the mix back sprinting.
Largely consistent veteran who still looked as good as ever when getting back to winning ways in ready fashion at Southwell early last month. Easy to strike a line through his subsequent Redcar effort (raced on unfavoured stand-side rail) so he'd be folly to discount.
Front runner who got back on scoreboard at Beverley (7f, good to firm) in July but has found life tougher in bigger fields on his 3 subsequent outings. Now just 1 lb above that last winning mark but hard to fancy.
Losing run stretches back to 2024 but holding form well for new stable this year, most recently fourth of 12 at Beverley (5f, good) just under 3 weeks ago. Wide stall tempers enthusiasm on this occasion, however.
A 3-time winner at 2 yrs who has made the frame on several occasions this season. Easy to excuse latest C&D effort (posted wide throughout from outside stall) but that scenario could be on the cards again.

Forecasts
Andesite (3/1), The Good Biscuit (10/3), Start Me Up (11/2), Almarada Prince (13/2), Gold Queen Kindly (8/1), American Gulf (12/1), Musical Touch (14/1), Go Vince Go (14/1), Papa Cocktail (20/1), Territorial Knight (25/1), Commanche Falls (25/1), Veblen Good (33/1), It Just Takes Time (33/1)
START ME UP bounced back to his best returned to the scene of his 2 previous victories when runner-up at Chester last month and back sprinting from a handy draw, Richard Spencer's 3-y-o earns the vote. Andesite arrives in search of a hat-trick, so he rates as an obvious threat from just 2 lb higher, with The Good Biscuit and Papa Cocktail another couple worth considering, too.
