Won both completed starts in points/shaped well in hunter chase on Rules debut and successful twice over hurdles at Market Rasen (23f) for new yard this summer, in first-time cheekpieces when beating 2 subsequent winners last month. Flopped at Bangor last time but could revive back chasing.

Belatedly opened account in 19f Downpatrick maiden hurdle in June. Fair runs in handicaps the last twice and of a similar standard over fences. Probably on a fair mark starting out for new yard (bought from Gavin Cromwell 12,500gns last month) but has stamina to prove in first-time tongue tie.

Brought up a quick-fire 5-timer in May/June (4 wins at Hexham). Poor runs at Cartmel the last twice but his solid jumping should stand him in good stead around Warwick and he shouldn't be written off back against the novices.

Forecasts

Passengerontheship (11/8), Kiwi De Cotte (13/8), In The Trenches (5/2)

Verdict

Tricky stuff, but KIWI DE COTTE has the potential to be better than his mark over fences and the dual point/hurdles winner can make a successful return to chasing.
