Won at Beverley in April and has continued in form this summer, producing another good effort behind the all-the-way winner at Thirsk (1m) 22 days ago. Likely to be thereabouts once more.
Dropped in grade and placed for a third start running when second of 11 at Lingfield (1m) last month, finishing well but no match for a lightly-raced improver. However, found run of good form coming to a halt at Southwell 11 days later.
Recorded back-to-back wins last summer. Yet to add to his tally this season but has been threatening to come good, finishing runner-up for a third start in a row at Musselburgh (9f) in August. Excuses both starts since and remains one to bear in mind.
Eighteen runs since last win in 2025. Posted a creditable third at Musselburgh (9f) in August but proved too free back up markedly in trip when last of 6 here (12.4f) on most recent outing.
Ran with credit on several occasions last season but has offered no encouragement in 3 runs for present stable.
Has long since had a suspect temperament but goes well at this track (4-time C&D winner) and ran well when ¾-length second of 9 to Walk On Walk On in handicap over C&D 17 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Can end his losing run when things drop right.
Looked less than straightforward when sixth of 8 in handicap at Musselburgh (9f, good to firm, 7/1) 25 days ago, looking ungainly on home turn and hanging right 1f out. One to treat with caution.
Proved better than ever down in grade on first run since leaving Noel Wilson when winning 9-runner handicap over C&D 17 days ago, responding well to front-running tactics. Nudged up 3 lb and holds solid claims if in the same form.
4-time C&D winner who wasn't disgraced on first outing since leaving Ben Haslam when third of 10 in classified event (4/1) at Ripon (1¼m, soft) 19 days ago. Cheekpieces back on and merits consideration.

Forecasts
Barleybrown (7/2), Volenti (7/2), Bajan Bandit (5/1), Tees George (5/1), Walk On Walk On (11/2), Falcon Nine (17/2), Positive Thoughts (12/1), Princess Niyla (18/1), Triggerman (50/1), The Floors Munky (125/1)
BARLEYBROWN hasn't always looked the heartiest, but he meets Walk On Walk On on slightly better terms than when runner-up to that rival over C&D 17 days ago, so he's taken to reverse the form and come out on top. Volenti, Falcon Nine and Tees George are a trio of others to consider.
