Low-mileage 3-y-o who is steadily improving in handicaps and ran well when second of 8 at Salisbury 11 days ago. Often misses the break but has first-time cheekpieces applied here so that could unlock further progress. One to note. Engaged 5.30 Bath Sunday.

Found some improvement to score from a mark 9 lb lower than in the spring in 6-runner event at this course (7f) just under a fortnight ago, getting away with a wide trip thanks to the slack pace and showing the best turn of speed. Nudged up 2 lb and fancied to be in the shake-up again.
Gained a maiden success in 7f handicap at Ffos Las in June and backed it up with a good second of 4 there the following month. Run of good form halted at Haydock (7f, good to firm) just over 5 weeks ago so bounce back required.
Created good impression when making a winning debut at Newcastle (6f) last November. However, she hasn't built on that effort in 5 races this year (raced freely last time) and is now upped markedly in trip.
Free-going sort who opened his account in maiden handicap at Chepstow in late-June. Has fallen some way short of that on both subsequent outings but a reapplied hood could see him get back on track.
Improved for the switch to handicaps back in the spring, finishing runner-up twice. Offered little on first outing for 4 months/since leaving Joseph O'Brien at Salisbury (1m, good to soft) 11 days ago so he's difficult to warm to.
Opened his account at Newcastle last November and ran respectably reverted to the all-weather when third of 8 at Lingfield (7f) just under 3 weeks ago. Left the impression he'll benefit from this return to 1m that day so one to take seriously.
2-y-o maiden winner who took a healthy stride forward when second at Southwell (6f) on reappearance in April. Failed to kick on from that but did at least take a step back in the right direction when third of 5 at Lingfield (1m) earlier in the month.
Won 7f Chester maiden last summer. Has yet to build on that success in handicap company this season but shaped as if back in form down in grade when third of 6 at Windsor (1m, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Each-way claims with his mark easing further still.
Long-standing maiden who failed to land a telling blow when fourth of 5 at Lingfield (1m) just under a fortnight ago. Others more appealing kept to this trip.

Forecasts
Decalogue (11/4), Berkshire Boom (3/1), Bird Of War (3/1), Unionville (11/2), Flyta (18/1), Paranjape (20/1), Ahead Of Fashion (20/1), Loquella (22/1), Jackabi (33/1), Musashi (50/1)
Cases can be made for a few of these but the most persuasive is for BIRD OF WAR, who gave the impression he'd benefit from a return to this trip when third at Lingfield last month. Heading up the dangers is Decalogue, who is steadily improving in handicaps and first-time cheekpieces could be just what he requires. Unionville and Berkshire Boom can fight out third.
