Winning Connections Conference Hire Handicap Chase

Useful middle-distance handicapper at best on Flat. Well below that level over hurdles but probably unlucky not to score on second start current yard at Warwick (2m) in May. No threat since, including back on the Flat, but he's an interesting chasing debutant in a weak race with yard still in form.

Lost his way for the Nicky Henderson yard and no upturn for new stable following a lengthy absence.

Winless since 2023 (placed over fences in November 2024), though made the frame in a couple of handicap hurdles last spring. Shaped as if needing the run having a very rare Flat outing on yard debut (formerly trained by Michael & David Easterby) in January but has been absent for another 7 months.

Successful in 17f Cartmel handicap chase last August and having dipped back below that winning mark, he ran better than for a while when 2 lengths third of 10 to Getaway Jewel in handicap chase at Worcester (2m, good) 21 days ago. Better off at the weights this time and enters calculations.

Back in good heart, building on a couple of runner-up efforts when notching a rare win in 2m handicap chase at Worcester 3 weeks ago, holding on gamely. Shaped as if still in top form until Cartmel's marathon run-in caught him out there 9 days ago and he's respected after another quick turnaround.

Now 16 runs since his sole win (over hurdles) in 2023 and just the one decent effort this summer. Cheekpieces back on.

Has won just once from 26 starts but was in decent form in the spring, runner-up in a Bangor handicap hurdle when last seen over obstacles in July. Had breathing operation/run on the Flat since, and he's respected with yard going in better form.

Temperamental sort. Regressed since winning a bumper on debut for Olly Murphy in autumn 2024. Makes chase debut after a breathing operation (also sporting a first-time tongue strap).
