Looked a useful prospect when winning 7f maiden at Newmarket on debut in August, having to knuckle down after the second came alongside. Now switches to all-weather with more to offer, though will have to concede a penalty to some well-bred debutantes.

Foaled January 31. $600,000 yearling. Nyquist filly. Half-sister to useful US Grade 3 6f winner Royal Approval. Dam was a US 7f winner from just 3 starts. Very interesting newcomer that needs watching in the betting.

Foaled February 28. Sioux Nation filly who cost €125,000 as a yearling last September, so connections clearly think plenty of her and she's in the right hands to win races.

Showed promise when fifth of 12 in a maiden over C&D last month, going on the bridle longer than most before tiring. Probably got work cut out up against some well-connected fillies here, though.

Foaled February 7. 150,000 gns yearling. Ghaiyyath filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Oaxaca and out of a 1m winner (stayed 9f), from a family that includes smart sprinter Wizz Kid. Plenty to like on paper and should be a major player if clued up enough first time.

Foaled April 20. €14,000 yearling, €175,000 2-y-o. Sioux Nation filly, half-sister to useful 1½m-2m winner Artarmon and 7f-1m winner Roxzoff from a strong family. Bred to win races and market should guide in terms of expectations first time out.

Verdict

PINK LARKSPUR is a well-bred ÂŁ150,000 purchase from a family that includes smart sprinter Wizz Kid and is taken to make a winning debut for top yard. Dreamology, a $600,000 buy and half-sister to useful US Grade 3 winner Royal Approval, is another fascinating newcomer and represents a significant threat, while Lex Victoria won her debut and sets a reasonable standard for them to try and surpass.
