Without Prejudice³⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: W Buick| T: J & T Gosden| D

1/4

Very well-related Starman filly who looked a fine prospect when making a winning start in 4-runner novice at Newmarket (1¼m, good to firm) in July. Open to significant improvement. Very hard to oppose.

Lissahane Lass^p1¹³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: William Carver| T: S Hodgson

300/1

Hinted at promise in a pair of bumpers but well beaten in 1m all-weather maidens at Lingfield and Kempton in April. Cheekpieces go on for the first time after a layoff.

Form: 00

(7)

Sister Cecilia¹⁹⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: Oisin Murphy| T: H Morrison

40/1

14/1, showed some ability when eighth of 14 in bumper at Wincanton (15f, soft) 6 months ago. Needs to build on it on belated Flat debut.

Form:

(2)

Stopherandgo¹⁷

Age: 9| Weight: 9-8| J: Kieren Fox| T: D Flood| OR: 30

300/1

Winning hurdler in 2023. Poor form over hurdles and fences for Kevin Pickard since and has shown nothing in 3 starts on the Flat this summer for current handler.

Form: 074

(1)

Aura Champagne³⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: P J Dobbs| T: R Hannon| OR: 77

11/1

Dark Angel filly. Shaped well when third in a pair of novices at Newbury on her first 2 runs but well below that level when occupying same position in 5-runner maiden at Nottingham (1m, firm) last month. Not written off.

Form: 3-33

(5)

Saaffya

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: George Downing| T: E Walker

16/1

Masar filly. Closely related to useful 13.3f-16.2f winner Mobbhij and half-sister to several other winners, including very smart 1m-10.4f winner Sajjhaa. Noteworthy newcomer who is worth a market check.

Form:

(3)

Yamnah^p1

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: Tom Marquand| T: J & T Gosden

9/2

€300,000 foal, Pinatubo filly. Dam, unraced, closely related to very smart winner up to 10.5f Golden Lilac out of very smart 1m-1¼m winner Grey Lilas. Wears cheekpieces. Appeals on paper but yard also has Without Prejudice in here so market clues should prove revealing.

Forecasts

Without Prejudice (1/4), Yamnah (9/2), Aura Champagne (11/1), Saaffya (16/1), Astrid (20/1), Sister Cecilia (40/1), Stopherandgo (300/1), Lissahane Lass (300/1)

WITHOUT PREJUDICE created an excellent impression when going in at the first time of asking at Newmarket and gets a confident vote to make light of a 7 lb penalty before going on to better things. Ed Walker's Masar newcomer Saaffya could emerge as the one to chase home the Gosdens' highly promising Starman filly ahead of Yamnah and Aura Champagne.
