Lady Dublin^p³¹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-9| J: Harry Russell| T: Ollie Pears| OR: 75

17/2

Benefited from the drop back in trip/cheekpieces when winning Class 6 nurseries at Catterick and Thirsk (both 6f, good to firm) in July. Found out in a Class 2 event at Newmarket since but capable of bouncing back with her sights lowered.

Star People^b¹²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-8| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn| OR: 74| BF

15/8

Progressive sort who has posted 2 crackers in nurseries, going down by only a nose at Newcastle (5f) in first-time blinkers (retained) 12 days ago. A 3 lb nudge doesn't look enough to stop him if the headgear works a second time.

Form: 05232

Lexington Boom²⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-6| J: Oliver Stammers| T: Grant Tuer| OR: 72| D

9/4

Ardad colt who has made steady progress, finishing second on first 2 starts before making it third time lucky in novice at Beverley (5f, good) 3 weeks ago. Respected nursery debutant.

Form: 221

Roman Crystal²⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Billy Garritty| T: M & D Easterby| OR: 70

9/2

All starts over 6f on good to firm, improving to make it fifth time lucky in Ayr maiden 24 days ago. Faces a shorter trip and likely softer ground now making handicap debut.

May Bee In Profit¹²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: D Allan| T: T D Easterby| OR: 70| D

9/1

Stylish winner of Carlisle novice (5f) in May but well held in nurseries at Glorious Goodwood and Newcastle (well behind Star People) since. Bounce back needed.

Inca Warrior⁴⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: Rowan Scott| T: N Tinkler| OR: 68

10/1

Closely related to useful winner up to 6f Disillusion. Fourth in 2 5f outings in July, showing some promise in quite a warm novice here latterly. Needs to step up again on nursery bow but that is entirely possible after just 2 starts (has since been gelded).

Forecasts

Star People (15/8), Lexington Boom (9/4), Roman Crystal (9/2), Lady Dublin (17/2), May Bee In Profit (9/1), Inca Warrior (10/1)

STAR PEOPLE saw off the rest comfortably when narrowly denied at Newcastle recently so even a 3 lb rise may not stop him if showing up in similar form. If Beverley novice winner Lexington Bloom can continue his trend of race-by-race improvement he may provide the chief threat ahead of Lady Dublin.
