Furness RDA Handicap Chase

Off time: 17:30 | Winning time: 4m 16.84s

Ghasham^t¹⁶

Age: 7| Weight: 12-0| J: Jonathan England| T: S England| OR: 100| BF

7/4

Positive start over fences for current yard, runner-up twice before landing the odds at Hexham in June. Left with too much to do at Market Rasen last time and probably remains in form. Worth considering.

Form: 2213V3

Achille Des Rocs^v1⁴⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: Danny McMenamin| T: L Morgan| OR: 96

6/1

Dual winner over hurdles in 2024 but has been pulled up on all 3 starts this year. Back over fences down in trip with new headgear fitted.

Form: 155/P-PP

Forcetoreckonwith^t¹³⁰

Age: 7| Weight: 11-6| J: Jack Tudor| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR: 92

7/1

Irish point winner has been getting the hang of things over fences under Rules and she bagged 6-runner handicap chase at Newcastle (2m) in March. Shaped as if still in good heart at Warwick next time but might need this after 4 months off.

Form: 243214-

Cuzco Du Mathan^v⁴⁴

Age: 8| Weight: 11-4| J: Leah Noreci⁽⁷⁾| T: James Moffatt| OR: 90| CD

10/3

Dual C&D winner in 2024. Hasn't fired again this summer but is potentially thrown in now (17 lb lower mark than for last victory in this race 2 years ago).

Form: 7644-78

Wearelongterm^p⁴²

Age: 9| Weight: 10-9| J: Peter Kavanagh| T: Mrs Dianne Sayer| OR: 81

22/1

Long-standing maiden under Rules and hasn't returned in much form at this venue. Down markedly in trip now.

Form: 2635-P7

Getaway Jewel¹²

Age: 12| Weight: 10-8| J: B S Hughes| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 80| D

7/2

Back in good heart, building on a couple of runner-up efforts when notching a rare win in 2m handicap chase at Worcester a fortnight ago, holding on gamely. Yard going really well and makes more appeal than most here up 4 lb.

Form: 4-23221

Non-Runners

Judicial Review²

Weight: 10-7| Age: 8

T: James Moffatt J: Callum Bewley

Blazing Court²

Weight: 10-7| Age: 8

Forecasts

Ghasham (7/4), Cuzco Du Mathan (10/3), Getaway Jewel (7/2), Blazing Court (4/1), Achille Des Rocs (6/1), Judicial Review (13/2), Forcetoreckonwith (7/1), Wearelongterm (22/1)

His recent form is uninspiring but CUZCO DU MATHAN is now 17 lb lower in the weights than when winning this race 2 years ago and a revival wouldn't be a surprise. Worcester winner Getaway Jewel is the obvious alternative.
