Ran green on debut in June and stepped forward from that outing when third of 7 in novice at Ffos Las (6f) later the same month. Speedily bred and he's open to further progress dropped in trip making a quick switch to nurseries.

17/2

Made an encouraging start to career when runner-up in maiden at Ayr (6f) and similar form when third in a Pontefract novice. However, could finish only fourth of 13 back in maiden company at Beverley (5f) a month ago. Makes nursery debut.

Ard As A Rock¹⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 9-5| J: William Carson| T: P D Evans| OR: 70| BF

5/1

Promising debut when 2 lengths fifth of 18 in novice at Newbury (6f) last month but hasn't kicked on in 2 subsequent outings, unable to land the odds when fourth of 10 at Beverley (5f) 17 days ago. Could fare better now in a nursery.

Form: 594

Pj's Corner³¹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Edward Greatrex| T: Dylan Cunha| OR: 69| D

3/1

Has progressed with each of his 4 starts so far, suited by the drop to the minimum trip when making a successful nursery debut at Leicester last time. Can give another good account.

Form: 8531

Perigord Noir^v1²⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-3| J: Ashley Lewis⁽³⁾| T: George Baker| OR: 68

Forecasts

Pj's Corner (3/1), Dowman (3/1), Sea Palace (10/3), South West (9/2), Ard As A Rock (5/1), Perigord Noir (13/2), Maximus Meridius (17/2)

Successful on his third start, DOWMAN ran well switched to a nursery when bumping into an improver at Yarmouth last time and he can resume winning ways at this level. He gets the vote ahead of Sea Palace, who heads into nursery company after only the 2 starts, with Leicester scorer Pj's Corner completing the shortlist.
