Dual winner in 2025 who bounced back to best for a cosy success at Hamilton (5f) in June. Excuses on account of the good to firm ground/way the race developed when last of 9 at Chester later that month but forecast conditions more favourable here. Better showing anticipated from handy draw.
Speedy 3-y-o who made all in 5f handicap at Chester in May. Underlined his inconsistency in finishing nearer last than first on 3 of his 4 starts since but this ease in class is a plus having slipped a little in the weights.
Produced a big career best under ideal conditions when winning an 11-runner handicap at Newmarket (6f) in May. However, has finished nearer last than first in trio of starts since and she may need further respite from the assessor.
Sole success came in maiden at Tipperary back in May 2024 but encouraging signs from easing mark for new yard in recent months, plugging on for fourth at Hamilton (5f) 8 days ago. Any rain won't inconvenience him and good showing not ruled out on a track that promises to suit.
Rejuvenated by fitting of cheekpieces, adding a second success of the campaign to his tally at Carlisle (5f, soft) in June. Struggled in Sky Bet Dash at York next time but quickly back on track when fourth at Hamilton (6f) 18 days ago. Sound each-way claims from a handy draw.
Had a tremendous 2025 on all-weather, winning 6 times at Newcastle (all at 5f) and in good form earlier this summer, posting a solid third of 7 in handicap at Doncaster (5f) 2 months ago. Now operating 3 lb below last winning mark and another in with a shout in an open-looking heat.
C&D winner who improved to make successful reappearance at Wolverhampton (5f) in March and back to that sort of form this summer, posting a good fourth in 3-y-o "Dash" at Epsom prior to filling same spot at Lingfield (5f) last month. Plum draw to work from but her mark looks about right.
Endured a winless 2025 but mark eased as a result and he bettered his 2 previous efforts this year when ending the drought at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) 4 weeks ago, knuckling down well. Reportedly bled then but forecast ground will hold no fears on back of a 2 lb rise having been gelded.
Had been shaping up well from a steadily easing mark and he put it all together when staying on late to open his account for the season at Newcastle (5f) 9 days ago. This is a tougher assignment but firmly respected as an in-form sort.
C&D winner who ran a cracker when second in the "Dash" at Epsom in June and not far off that level when seventh in big field Glorious Goodwood handicap (5f) 2 starts back. Lesser display at Pontefract since but no surprise to see him bounce back.
Ended last year on a high with 3 all-weather victories. Yet to get his head in front this season but in good form in strong company prior to a lesser run at Windsor (6f) 3 weeks ago. Blinkers go back on in place of visor and this stiff 5f ought to play to his strengths. Lurks on a dangerous mark.

Forecasts
Lethal Nymph (4/1), Sir Yoshi (5/1), Paddy's Day (11/2), Francisco's Piece (6/1), Temple Of Athena (7/1), Trilby (7/1), Vintage Clarets (10/1), Cinque Verde (12/1), Solar Aclaim (14/1), Baldomero (20/1), Exclamation (33/1)
SOLAR ACLAIM had excuses on account of the ground/way the race developed at Chester when last seen in June and is on a workable mark judged on the pick of last season's efforts, so could be worth chancing to quickly bounce back. This is competitive though, with Sir Yoshi and Newcastle scorer Lethal Nymph just 2 potential threats.
