Progressive in 2025 aside from a blip in the Derby, ending the year with listed/Group 3 wins before adding a 9f Newmarket Group 3 on return. Hasn't kicked on back up in grade since, though his third to Item in the York Stakes (1¼m) has been boosted by the winner this week. Cheekpieces reached for.

Successful twice last season for William Haggas, including at this course (1m), before third in the John Smith's Cup. Has improved for current yard this year, making it 2 wins from his last 3 starts when landing the Golden Mile at Goodwood from wide draw. Worth his place in this grade.
Thrived in Meydan early this year, winning back-to-back handicaps. Solid efforts in defeat in Group company thereafter and translated that form back to Britain when third in the Wolferton at Royal Ascot. Excuses the last twice, meeting trouble in 9f conditions race at Goodwood last time.
Winner of a Curragh maiden on debut before going close in the Dewhurst only a week later. Didn't go on as expected at 3 yrs but has got back on track in 2 starts this season, going close in listed race at Naas (7f) in May. More needed up in trip with cheekpieces applied.
Winner of a Group 3 and Group 2 last year and made a good return to domestic action with a cosy success in listed race at Ascot (1m) in May. Underperformed back at a higher level next 2 starts, but fared better when ¾-length third of 7 in conditions race at Goodwood 22 days ago.
Gained a first success for present stable when landing a Goodwood listed race (1¼m) in September. Stepped forward from this season's return when denied close home in another listed event over the same C&D in May, before fifth of 8 in the slowly-run Summer Mile at Ascot 6 weeks ago.
Dual Group 3 winner in 2025 and has returned to his best this season, not seen to best effect on a couple of occasions before getting back to winning ways in listed race at Newbury (1¼m) 5 weeks ago. Versatile with regards to ground and can make his presence felt.
Without a win since final start in 2024, but goes well at this track and proved as good as ever when fourth in 18-runner handicap here (1m) in May. Gave his all when runner-up in listed event at Pontefract last month, though was withdrawn from handicap here on Thursday due to the going.
3-time winner when trained in France, including a Group 2 at Longchamp on Arc weekend last year. Hasn't really fired in 3 starts in the US this year, though, fourth of 6 in listed race at Monmouth on latest outing. Off 10 weeks ahead of first run since leaving Miguel Clement.
After a sequence of in-frame efforts, gained a deserved first success at pattern level in the Meld Stakes at Leopardstown (9f) in July. Improved again when runner-up in the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood (1½m) and he's a major player returned to this shorter distance.
Useful form at 2 yrs, winning here (7f) on debut and a Newmarket Group 3 on final outing. Encouraging third to Rayif in the French 2000 Guineas in May on return, before seeming not to get home in the French Derby (10.5f). Could still have more to offer back down in trip.
Opened his account at the fourth time of asking at Wolverhampton in June and, fitted with cheekpieces, followed up on handicap debut at the Curragh (9f) later the same month. Faces a tougher ask here, but this well-bred colt is in good hands to progress.
Looked an exciting prospect when making it 2-2 in 7f Newmarket listed race on reappearance in May. However, he hasn't fully confirmed that impression since, tried in blinkers when never-nearer fourth of 7 in a Goodwood Group 3 (1m) last time. Tongue strap now fitted up in trip.

Forecasts
Damysus (11/4), Geryon (11/2), Persica (6/1), Hankelow (7/1), Saber Strike (8/1), Expanded (10/1), Point Lynas (14/1), Archivist (14/1), Jonquil (14/1), Ridari (16/1), Dividend (20/1), Naqeeb (25/1), King Of Earth (33/1)
GERYON has been going the right way this year, bagging a Leopardstown Group 3 last month before beaten only by a fellow progressive 3-y-o at Goodwood, so he is taken to resume winning ways back down in trip. Persica has been holding his form well this summer and could be the main danger, ahead of Archivist who resumed his progress on his latest outing.
