Three-time winner over hurdles for this yard. Came to chasing late and not knocked about in 2 runs this season. Could have more to offer in this sphere.
Consistent over hurdles without winning and hasn't progressed from a promising start in this sphere this season, fading at Stratford (19f) last time. Back down in trip but others more persuasive.
Runner-up twice over C&D (including in this race) last summer after scoring at Southwell. Yet to fire this season but on a tempting mark back over fences and not ruled out in first-time cheekpieces.
Bumper/hurdles winner usually ridden prominently. In better heart than recent form figures suggest and worth a look on chase debut.
Has dipped below his last winning mark (successful in 17f Cartmel handicap chase a year ago) but hasn't returned in much form this season. Looks stable second string.
Limited impact over hurdles but a different proposition switched to the larger obstacles when causing a 28/1 upset over C&D in June. Excuses next time and while he fared better when third over 2½m back here 4 weeks ago his weak-finishing tendencies were back in evidence.
Probably a little fortunate (left clear on landing last) when winning handicap hurdle at Fontwell (19f) in April but did run creditably back up 3 lb there next time. Makes a belated chasing debut.
Has made a good start for new connections and opened his account over fences in 17f Market Rasen handicap chase last month. Did it readily and good chance he can defy a 5 lb rise.
Hadn't been in much form in Ireland (including in points) prior to joining new connections and was always behind on his first run for them here (2½m) last month. Cheekpieces go on.
Back in good heart, runner-up at Uttoxeter and Cartmel (17f) the last twice. Should give his running again but is vulnerable for win purposes.

Forecasts
Mr Mcwhinny (15/8), Turpin Gold (6/1), Greer Hill (7/1), Hiero Sport (15/2), Alshadhian (9/1), Dexter (10/1), Definite Dream (10/1), Getaway Jewel (12/1), Iolaos Du Mou (12/1), Keep Me Posted (40/1)
MR MCWHINNY was well on top when making his second start for Tom Ellis a winning one at Market Rasen last month and he looks one to follow. He can go in again. Alshadhian was second in this race last year and could be set for a big run in first-time cheekpieces, while Turpin Gold may have a bigger effort in him over fences.
