Three wins from 7 runs in a productive 2026. Creditable fifth of 10 in handicap at the Curragh (1m, good to firm) 9 days ago given he didn't get a smooth passage so likely to give it another good go.
Veteran who found only one too good for the third successive race at Killarney last month. Kept on for third over 8.5f at Galway 3 weeks ago and this 3-time C&D winner goes on the shortlist.
Off the mark at the Curragh (6f) on fourth and final start last year. Stepped forward from this season's reappearance when second of 8 in handicap at Naas (7f) but ran badly back at that venue dropped back to 6f 2 weeks ago.
Lightly-raced maiden who produced his best effort when second of 12 on handicap debut at Gowran 11 days ago, running on. Likely there's more to come given his profile.
Back-to-back winner at Listowel last September. Low-key start to 2026 but much more like it when fourth at Limerick in June, unlucky not to finish closer, too. Latest fifth at Galway confirms he's in good order.
On a long losing run but placed no fewer than 7 times this season. Last 2 efforts on turf haven't been good ones, however.
Stepped up markedly on reappearance when winning 14-runner handicap at Killarney, staying on to lead final 100 yards. Up 6 lb and last 2 efforts suggest the assessor probably has him now.
Off the mark in pretty good style at the Curragh (6f maiden, heavy) on reappearance but found listed company too much on next 2 starts. Fared better when third of 11 on handicap debut at Fairyhouse (6f, good) and latest run upped to 7f was creditable, too.
Upped his game when getting off the mark at the fifth attempt in 13-runner maiden at Navan (6f) a month ago, digging deep. Cheekpieces on returned to a handicap and 7f should be within range.
Lightly-raced filly who made the frame in pair of 7f maidens in the autumn and had heavy ground as a possible excuse when fifth of 15 at Gowran (7f) in October. Sound return to action last month and now goes handicapping.
Well backed and justified support on handicap debut in 15-runner event at Fairyhouse, benefiting as expected from the return to 7f to lead dying strides. Shaped as though still in top form in race not run to suit at Naas and he's of serious interest.
Still a maiden but ran his best race when ½-length second of 6 to Zenford at Limerick (7f, soft) in June, collared late on having had the run of things. Was brushed aside in a better race at Leopardstown, though.
Form has an in-and-out look to it, but she proved more straightforward than she has at times when second of 11 in handicap at Dundalk (7f) last month. Never a factor at Galway 3 weeks ago but represents in-form yard.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2024. 8/1, creditable second of 13 in handicap at Listowel (6.3f, good) 79 days ago, no match for winner. RESERVE.

Contrary To Law (7/2), Earls (7/2), Cool Azul (11/2), Summer Island (13/2), Thenandnow (9/1), Tokyo Treasure (11/1), Mercurial (14/1), Spodo Komodo (14/1), Red Hugh O'Donnell (16/1), Dragon Of Malta (20/1), Mehman (20/1), Dolly Hello (22/1), Engines On (25/1), Perfect Base (25/1), Sagasti (28/1), Venetian Star (33/1)
Plenty to consider but 3-y-o CONTRARY TO LAW has the right sort of profile for this so could be the answer with a well-run race sure to be in his favour. Cool Azul and Earls are potential dangers.
