100,000 gns Blue Point colt who was hopelessly green when trailing the field on debut at Doncaster (18/1). Probably needs more time.

Much improved when 1½ lengths seventh of 21 in Group 2 Coventry at Royal Ascot (6f) second time up. Subsequently gelded and was some way off that form when beaten just over 2 lengths in a valuable Glorious Goodwood maiden. Should have no problem getting off the mark in a weak maiden here, though.

Foaled April 22. €7,500 foal, €9,000 yearling, Tosen Stardom colt. Half-brother to winner up to 6f Lord Roxby. Dam unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 1m (stayed 1½m) Eddie Jock. Will have more realistic opportunities down the line.
Foaled March 25. 4,000 gns yearling, Calyx gelding. Dam, maiden (stayed 10.5f), sister to 1¼m-1½m winner Santa Monica and 8.4f-13f winner Grand Promenade (both smart). Likely to need time/distance.
Foaled April 1. 165,000 gns yearling, Kodiac colt. Dam twice-raced half-sister to smart winner up to 8.6f Khaloosy. Yard (without a winning debutant since May) did land this corresponding event with a newcomer 12 months ago. Place claims.
€10,000 foal, £15,000 yearling, 35,000 gns 2-y-o. Invincible Spirit gelding. Dam lightly-raced half-sister to useful 1¼m winner (stayed 1½m) Naturally High out of useful winner up to 9.2f (2-y-o 7.5f/8.2f winner) Just Little. Stiff ask on racecourse bow.
Foaled February 28. 22,000 gns foal, £37,000 yearling, Sergei Prokofiev gelding. Dam, 2-y-o 6f/7f winner, closely related to 2-y-o 6f winner Al Aasifh and ungenuine 5f winner Cowboy Soldier (both useful). Bred to make an impact as a juvenile, though hardly a positive that he's already been gelded.
Foaled April 27. Ubettabelieveit gelding. Closely related to 1m winner Debit Card and half-brother to 6f winner Peter The Wolf. Dam winner up to 7f (2-y-o 5f winner). More likely to be a longer-term prospect.
€160,000 breeze-up purchase is in excellent hands. Should be all the better for his debut 4½ lengths fourth at Newcastle. Solid claims to be best of the rest behind Final Objective.

Foaled April 12. €70,000 foal, €80,000 yearling, Sioux Nation colt. Half-brother to smart 5f/6f winner Jasour and 5f winner Nightcall. Dam unraced half-sister to Sprint Cup and Diamond Jubilee Stakes winner Twilight Son. One of the more appealing newcomers.
Foaled March 2. Invincible Spirit filly. Dam, 2-y-o 7f winner who stayed 1¼m, half-sister to useful 14.2f winner (stays 17f) Eagle Fang out of useful 11f winner Scatina. Unlikely to make an impact first time up.
Forecasts
Final Objective (10/11), Knightbolt (7/2), Scenic Route (8/1), Royal Strike (10/1), Melody Man (16/1), Les Invincibles (25/1), Pivotal Star (25/1), Novah (25/1), Blue Faith (25/1), Five Star George (25/1), Hope Of Acklam (25/1)
This looks a golden opportunity for FINAL OBJECTIVE to open his account. Karl Burke's Royal Strike may be the one to follow him home, with newcomers Knightbolt and Scenic Route worth noting for each-way support.
