Cummersdale Apprentice Handicap

Not the most straightforward but he finally shed his maiden tag under an inspired ride from Daniel Tudhope in C&D handicap in June (form worked out well). Not so good in lady riders event here (9f) since but drops back in trip/grade now and could figure.

Scored at Pontefract in June and back to winning ways at Nottingham (8.3f) 3 weeks ago, nailing Perfidia at the death. 4 lb rise makes life tougher (has never won off a mark this high).

Successful twice last year but has found life a struggle this season despite a tumbling mark.

Notched up a second win of the season when making all at Nottingham in June. Good runner-up efforts next 2 starts (edged out by Bay Dream Believer back at Nottingham). Pulled hard and failed to stay over 1¼m at Beverley last time.

Won at Beverley in April and has continued in form this summer, chasing home a couple of these at Nottingham then staying on well for second behind a resurgent rival at Redcar a fortnight ago. Rider among the winners and got to be high on the shortlist.

C&D winner in the past but arrives out of form and others more persuasive.

Long-standing maiden who has lost her way.

Modest maiden well held over hurdles in Ireland the last twice and has work to do back on the level for another new yard.
