C&D winner last August. Below par when last seen at the start of the summer so his hopes are pinned on an 8-week break sparking a revival.

In good form over 1m here in blinkers last month, winning on the first occasion and showing even better form in defeat twice since. This front-runner leaves the impression he should be as effective back at 7f. Blinkers off. Player.
Went close at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) in June and even better form when third over 7f at Carlisle (firm) last month. Blinkered first time. Capable of winning off this mark.
Ended her time with Ed Bethell with a Newcastle novice win in December but well held in 2 handicaps for current yard in the spring. Something to prove back from 3 months off.
Winner at Hamilton in May. Creditable fourth of 10 there (8.3f, good to firm) 7 days ago, leading until approaching the final furlong. This first attempt over 7f looks worth a go.
6/1, career best when winning 8-runner C&D handicap (good to soft) 49 days ago by ¾ length from Milford Grange, always holding on. Should remain competitive off 3 lb higher.
6/1, creditable fourth of 8 in handicap at Chester (7.6f, soft) 57 days ago. Not discounted.
Maiden. Runner-up in 7f Haydock handicap on soft in May and freshened up since a lesser run at Musselburgh (6f, good to firm) in early June.
Runner-up for the third start in succession when finding only Circle of Trust too strong over C&D (good to soft) in June. Not in the same on quicker ground at York twice since but a bounce back wouldn't surprise.
Still a maiden but went close in 7f handicaps at Musselburgh and Carlisle in June/July. Not helped by an awkward start when a below-form fourth at Chester since.
Has mostly struggled since his 7f Newcastle win in December but latest length third at Hamilton (8.3f, good to firm) was his best effort of the season. This 4-time course scorer is well treated if able to build on that.
Eleven runs since last win in 2024. Seventh of 9 in handicap at this course (6f, good to firm, 6/1) 12 days ago. Back up in trip.

Runninsonofagun (4/1), Supreme Clarets (5/1), Yaaser (5/1), Black Storm (13/2), Sanafi Zabeel (15/2), Milford Grange (9/1), Ubetterseethis (10/1), Circle Of Trust (12/1), Highfield Viking (12/1), Tap Dancer (14/1), Stoic Poet (18/1), Phoenix Of Dreams (50/1), Yy Spirit (125/1)
BLACK STORM won't need to pull out much more for blinkers to land a first handicap success. Runninsonofagun posted 3 good efforts over 1m here last month and his run style points to him being as effective back at shorter. Milford Grange will also have a say if recapturing the form he showed when second to Circle of Trust over C&D in June.
