C&D winner. Twelve runs since last win in 2025. Only eighth of 10 over C&D (good to firm) 34 days ago but this represents a drop in grade. Respected.
Back to winning ways at Pontefract in April. Best effort since when fifth of 18 in Golden Mile at Goodwood (1m, good to firm) last week. Runs off 2 lb lower here so a player in this lower grade.
Useful for Ger Lyons in Ireland last year but hasn't offered much in 4 starts for current yard. His mark is in freefall as a result but could only consider if backed in refitted cheekpieces.
All the sharper for his reappearance in the Spring Mile at Doncaster when getting up close home to deny stablemate On The River at Ripon (1m) in April. Ran no sort of race at Redcar a couple of months later, though.
Pair of all-weather wins last summer and mostly creditable efforts in defeat this year, including on turf in the Middle East. Best of those ridden prominently when fourth of 12 at Southwell (7f) 12 days ago.
A 5-time winner on turf, registering latest success at Yarmouth (11.5f, soft) in June. Sold out of Ross Burdon's stable for 19,000 gns after that. Well held in 13f Hamilton handicap on recent yard debut. Drops significantly in trip now.
Strong at the finish when off the mark for the season over 1m at Wetherby (good to firm) in April and added to his tally in a 9-runner C&D handicap (firm) 19 days ago. Should remain competitive off 5 lb higher.
Just the one creditable effort to his name this year from 4 starts and remains 2 lb above the mark he defied over 7f here on good to soft last year.
Five course wins (including this trip) in a remarkable 2025 campaign. Back to winning ways at Carlisle (1m, good) last month and not seen to best effect at Hamilton since. Considered.
Won 1m handicaps at Southwell and Thirsk on return in May and good efforts in defeat since, going down only narrowly back at Thirsk (1m, good to firm) 23 days ago.

Forecasts
Theoryofeverything (7/2), Military Leader (7/2), Walsingham (4/1), Jannas Journey (4/1), Hale End (9/1), Milteye (11/1), Breakdancer (14/1), Count Palatine (25/1), High Point (25/1), Bravais (33/1)
JANNAS JOURNEY wasn't seen to best effect in a small field at Hamilton last time and remains well treated on last season's peak course form. Class-dropping David O'Meara pair Theoryofeverything and Walsingham are interesting at the top of the weights. Military Leader's consistent record this year suggests he's also likely to be on the premises.
