Edged out Dancing In Paris to win last year's Northumberland Plate. Has shown he's still capable of useful form this year but ran no sort of race when defending his Northumberland Plate crown latest.
Useful hurdle and Flat winner for this yard. Below par on the Flat in recent starts, including in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting in June. Off since. Cheekpieces go back on.
Flat/hurdle winner for Donnacha O'Brien. Respectable fifth of 11 in handicap at the Curragh (2m, good to firm) 6 weeks ago. Has left one good yard to join another.
Acquitted himself well without winning in staying handicaps last year. Best effort this year when fifth of 9 over 1½m here 15 days ago and this former course scorer is well treated if able to build on that.
Low-mileage 4-y-o who returned to turf to land the Chester Plate in May and found a bit more improvement when shading a tight finish at Newbury (16.5f, firm, 13/2) 21 days ago. Nudged up 3 lb but no surprise were he to pull out more. Player under Moore.
Back to winning ways in 13-runner handicap at Thirsk (good) 69 days ago, proving well suited by the return to 2m. Wouldn't be a surprise to see him pull out more now he's found his feet for Jim Goldie.
Ended his time with the Gosden stable with a career-best performance to win 8-runner handicap at Sandown (1¾m, good) 36 days ago. New connections acquired him for 77,000 gns last month.
Very useful staying handicapper at his best. Hasn't reached that level in his 3 starts this year but is favourably treated if a first-time tongue tie sparks a return to form.
Successful 3 times last season and started 2026 with some good in-frame efforts. Two lesser runs have followed but the return to 2m should help and he has the services of Dylan Browne McMonagle.
Won twice (including over 2m) from 4 starts for Christophe Ferland in France. Encouraging fourth in big-field handicaps on 2 of his 3 starts for Ian Williams, latterly the Northumberland Vase over 2m at Newcastle. Likely to be winning for this yard soon.

Forecasts
Shrimp Shady (11/10), Pole Star (13/2), Hermetic (8/1), Dancing In Paris (17/2), Mountain Road (10/1), Lavender Hill Mob (14/1), Kilmeaden (16/1), Spirit Mixer (18/1), Oneforthegutter (22/1), Marnier (28/1)
POLE STAR has dipped to 3 lb below his last winning mark and is worth chancing back at 2m with Dylan Browne McMonagle doing the steering. The thriving Shrimp Shady has the services of Ryan Moore and is feared most ahead of the Ian Williams pair Hermetic and Dancing In Paris.
