Made all at Salisbury in May and best effort since when well backed and third of 6 at Bath 3 weeks ago, coming clear of the others. That form looks solid and he's considered back down in grade in refitted cheekpieces with Oisin Murphy up.
A while since he's hit the headlines (all 3 wins over 7f at Kempton for first trainer Kevin Philippart de Foy) but he's dropped a fair way in the weights and stopped the slide to some extent there (6f) last time. Very well handicapped if new stable can find the key to him.
Gained breakthrough success at Kempton (6f) in March and shaped better than bare result at Bath on latest start in May, eased having been hampered/stumbled. Could yet have more to offer on turf.
Confirmed the promise of her debut effort when scoring at Wolverhampton (6f) in November but struggled on handicap debut/return at Lingfield 9 weeks ago and needs to improve now making first start on turf.
Stepped up on his return when second at Newbury (6f, firm) in June, collared in the final 50 yds by one played even later. Left with too much to do following week at Windsor and been given a break. One to consider from good mark.
Has fallen a long way in the weights (last win in 5f York handicap 2 years ago for Richard Hannon off 13 lb higher) and got closer than previously this season at Salisbury last time. Down another 2 lb.
Won twice over 5f last season for George Scott and getting closer over 6f of late, unable to reel in Tony Carroll-trained 3-y-o who got first run at Lingfield last time. This is tougher.

It could be worth chancing NEWSREADER who is on a career-low mark starting out for a trainer enjoying a tremendous season having had a number of new recruits win first time up along the way. Monsieur Patat and Safari Dream are a couple of the likely dangers.
