€70,000 3-y-o, Flemensfirth gelding. Brother to modest chaser Flemen's Tipple. Dam (c120/h113), 2m-2½m hurdle/chase winner, sister to fairly useful hurdler (stayed 21f) Mister Snowball. Unseated rider sole start in points (May 9).

Not long with current yard and showed improved form when second of 14 in valuable series final at Punchestown (19f, good to soft) in April. Bit below that level when third of 15 in maiden at Ballinrobe (2¾m) the following month and now first-time cheekpieces go on.

Mahler gelding who offered little when tailed-off thirteenth of 17 in bumper at Fairyhouse (2m, soft) on debut back in April 2025. Upped markedly in trip for this hurdling debut.

Looked top prospect when winning 2 bumpers in 2023/24, including a Grade 2. Showed the benefit of comeback switched to hurdling when fourth of 15 in maiden at Ballinrobe in May but failed to land the odds when third at Cork recently. Remains with potential in first-time cheekpieces/tongue tie.

Useful middle-distance performer on the Flat in France/Germany for H-A. Pantall who showed aptitude for hurdling under a considerate ride when third of 8 in Killarney novice in May. Confirmed himself a smart Flat performer at Royal Ascot since so open to plenty of improvement back hurdling.

Shirocco gelding who showed nothing when tailed-off sixteenth of 20 in maiden hurdle at Cork (17f, good) on debut earlier in the month. Upped in trip but needs more time.

Snow Sky gelding who showed nothing when pulled up in juvenile hurdle at Limerick (2m, soft) on debut back in March. Markedly upped in trip but can only be watched.

Dual bumper winner, her latest in 10-runner event at Punchestown (2m, good) early last month. Half-sister to Al Boum Photo so likely to be suited by this sort of trip, she commands respect on hurdling debut. 1 of 2 for this yard.

Won on the Flat at this Festival in 2024 and added to her tally at Clonmel last October. Mixed bag over hurdles so far, failing to justify support having raced freely at Leopardstown when last seen in March. Upped in trip (bred to stay) but will have to settle much better on return.

Only a handful of these make any serious appeal in this opening maiden and SHODA is selected to make a winning return for the in-form Joseph O'Brien yard. She'll need to settle better than when last seen but is bred to stay and can get the better of Mr Hollywood, who confirmed himself a smart Flat performer at Royal Ascot and is open to plenty of improvement back hurdling. Al Arrivee, Jeroboam Machin and De Jour En Jour round off the shortlist.
