Little impact in 2 bumpers and mid-field at best in a trio of maiden hurdles around 2m. Sent off favourite for handicap debut but fared no better when fourth of 5 at Fakenham (23f) in April (bred to stay that far). Significantly back down in trip here.
Fair winner on the Flat who opened account over hurdles in a Fakenham novice handicap in January. Possibly needed the run after 5 months off in handicap at Worcester 23 days ago, but still has something to find here.
Successful on 2 of first 3 starts for this yard last season, but was found to have bled on final 2 outings in 2025. After 8 months off, took a step back in the right direction when fourth of 9 in handicap at Worceser 23 days ago, but task is now to build on latest run.
After 8 months off ahead of first run since leaving Clare Ellam, got off the mark in impressive fashion in 12-runner novice handicap at Stratford in June. Can remain competitive given the manner of his victory last time.
Not always the easiest to catch right, but switched to blinkers he justified favouritism in 10-runner handicap over this C&D 17 days ago. Back up 5 lb in the weights, though interesting to see if the support arrives again.
Dual winner on the Flat last spring and, back over hurdles after 4 months off, ran respectably when never-nearer third at Newton Abbot (18.5f) in May this year. Well held in a visor at Stratford last time, but cheekpieces are now refitted.
Opened his hurdles account on second run following a lengthy absence over this C&D in May last year. Has been more miss than hit since, though, fifth of 9 at Worcester 23 days ago. Has eased further in the weights but others more persuasive.
Doubled his tally when scoring over this C&D in May. Has shaped as if still in good form since, racing closer to the pace than ideal when fifth of 10 in race won by Cawthorne Banker here 17 days ago. Can make his presence felt.

Forecasts
Thickthorn Tom (7/4), Mayday Games (2/1), Cawthorne Banker (5/2), Jet Patrol (5/1), Genbu (17/2), Ocean Heights (9/1), Castle Quarter (10/1), Belcamo (18/1), Fond Farewell (25/1), Four Decades (33/1)
THICKTHORN TOM has proved a different proposition of late over fences, again travelling strongly through the race when winning at Worcester last week, and he looks to hold strong claims back hurdling. The main danger could be Mayday Games, who scored in good style on his stable debut, ahead of Genbu.
